I even ended up naming my dog after a dog I met there (Shoutout to Angus the Golden) I recently moved to Louisiana and I WISH there was a place even close to this. They love your dogs as their own and I can’t speak highly enough of them!

Then I got the FidoRido. I really like that it uses the Seat Belt to attach to the car. Best feature: there are restraints on both sides to keep him in the middle of the booster. Works great. Looks great. Easy to install and take out.

4545 IN-45, Bloomington10/10! I highly recommend their grooming services! They work literal magic with my 15 year old mostly deaf/blind shih tzu who can be a little thorny at times. They transform her from a gremlin to a cutie 🥹 and even keep her at the front desk to make her less anxious while she waits to be picked up. We also send our 12 year old mini dachshund for a spa day and they seem to spoil her, too.

Edwards Square, 4001 East 3rd Street, BloomingtonMy daughter and I each had a large lab, one chocolate and mine was black, that we took to Fabulous Fur for baths and nail trims…..what a great place! My lab absolutely loved going there, and especially enjoyed the long soaking treatments for his itchy skin that helped immensely!! And I was so surprised he did so well with the nail trims after my attempts to do it!! Both our dogs have been gone a few years now, but I would definitely be back without any hesitation if I had another dog. We both loved Fabulous Fur!! Well worth the fees too….!! It was getting too much for me to wrangle a 110# dog any more…..definitely recommend highly!!

I trust her completely. The staff are just as amazing. My dogs get super excited and love going here. I recommend their grooming services as well as doggie daycare. Scout's Honor
611 West 11th Street, BloomingtonWe’ve been using Scout’s Honor for over a year now and have been extremely happy with the experience. When we started, we had a very energetic 70-pound rescue who needed some help learning manners and impulse control. We saw a major improvement within just a couple of months, and the continued progress has been wonderful.
What we especially appreciate is their positive, reward-based approach. They focus on praise and teaching dogs what we want them to do, rather than relying on fear or punishment. The trainers are knowledgeable, patient, and their communication and customer service have been excellent throughout our time with them. They offer home visits to work with dogs in their own environment, which is especially helpful for addressing behaviors where they actually occur. They also provide daily report cards with super cute pictures, as well as videos and guidance on the techniques they taught that day. This has given us the skills to continue practicing and maintaining progress at home.
We’ve used their grooming services for nail trims as well and have had a great experience. They use fear-free techniques, with rewards and praise to help keep dogs comfortable and make the experience as positive as possible.
If you’re looking for effective, compassionate training with a team that genuinely cares about dogs and their families, I highly recommend Scout’s Honor!

From out of town so I probably won't be back anytime soon. But when I'm in the area I'll definitely stop at Hopscotch and get a car. I did purchase a couple of 1 lb bags of beans. Looking forward to enjoying it when I get home.

409 East 4th Street, BloomingtonA hidden gem! We love Korean food, and this place is a must-visit whenever we are in Bloomington. Their tuna kimbap is so good that last time I ordered it twice! We also had their hot stone bibimbap, which tasted great. I ordered the omurice as well—it was good, but probably not a must-try. We sat outside and really enjoyed the summer evening.
Parking nearby can be tricky, but paid street parking is standard for most places in the area.

They're a lot quicker making the bowls than any other smoothie place I've tried, which I think is largely because they use premade frozen bases that they can just scoop out. This is not a bad thing at all - the frozen texture is nice and creamy. There are a variety of different bases on the menu that can also be combined, and every one I've tried has been very tasty. There's enough bowls and smoothies on the menu to give you a lot of options, but you can also build your own. They're generous with the toppings and the fruit always tastes fresh.
They also have avocado toast and sweet toast in addition to the smoothies/bowls. I wasn't overly impressed with the avocado toast that I tried, but it wasn't bad. It could be good if you just want something savory and solid to go with a smoothie, but I wouldn't come just for the toast.
They recently put cold brew coffee and matcha on the menu too, but I haven’t tried the drinks yet.
The staff (mostly college kids) are usually friendly. Sometimes I also see the owner around making smoothies, and he seems very enthusiastic. Lots of seating in the shop and a few tables outside on the balcony. They have some board/card games to play while you're there. The shop is on the second floor (above Lennie's) and there unfortunately seems to be no way to get up without taking the stairs.
