Julie Rocks! Best Workout Tutor Ever!So, my girlfriend pointed me in Julie's direction, and man, am I glad she did! I'd been dealing with this annoying knee joint pain for a while, and it was really cramping my style. But then, Julie happened.Julie is super professional, but also really considerate and caring. She's given me tons of cool tips about everything from how to move to what to eat, all aimed at helping me kick this knee pain to the curb and get healthier overall.One of the best things about Julie is that she doesn't do one-size-fits-all workouts. She takes the time to figure out what's going on with my body and tailors each session to what I need. It's like having a workout made just for me, which is pretty awesome.Chatting with Julie is a breeze. She's easy to talk to and always up for a laugh. Plus, she's always there to answer any questions I have or help me out if I'm not sure about something.And get this - Julie's even been helping us with our plans to build a home gym. She's full of great ideas and advice, and it's been super helpful to have her input as we try to create our own workout space.I know for sure that I'll be heading back to Julie anytime I need help with my form or anything else workout-related. She's just that good.If you're on the hunt for a workout tutor who's professional, caring, and knows her stuff, you've gotta check out Julie. She's a total game-changer. Julie is an exceptional personal trainer. I wish my final semester at IU allowed me more time and flexibility to feel confident about holding myself accountable and making the goal of two training sessions per week cost affordable. Julie helped me meet two enormous goals for starting personal training eight months ago: learning how to use gym equipment and finding the confidence to tackle the gym without a personal trainer (and knowing what muscles you want to work on). Whatever personal training needs you are looking for, I cannot emphasize how much I recommend reaching out to Xcel Performance!

I am 54 and my wife and I have been working out with Julie at XCel for about 10 months. She understood our needs perfectly and has created a great strength and conditioning program for both of us. I have not gained this much muscle strength and tone since I was a 20 year old college athlete. The same goes for my wife, who was in better shape than me anyway - and she has made even bigger strides. Highly, highly recommend!

Since I started training here around October 2019, I've gone from being 125 lbs (at 6'1") to 175 lbs and counting. My body fat percentage has also improved, and overall I'm just in much better shape physically. Would definitely recommend for people looking to work out but not really sure what workouts to do.

Perfect choice in regards to personal training, weight loss, and finding the right routine for you. I was always able to see my improvements through the technology and fitness tracking they provide, would highly recommend if wanting to change your body or lifestyle.

I've worked out with Julie and Jeremy Helton for more than six years and their workouts are keeping me healthy and as fit as I have ever been. They sponsor small class sizes and and are careful to check your form as you do the workouts. They tailor the workouts to your physical capability but make sure to advance the areas that you might want to improve upon. Highly recommended! Check them out!

I have been seeing Julie for personal training and just joined their group classes as well. I can’t say enough good things. I have learned so much more about my form and really feel like I’m getting what I pay for. I am already down a pants size in just a few months of working out for 30 minutes once a week but even better I’m feeling SO strong. Every week is something new and your workouts are tailored to your unique goals.

Julie is awesome! I had been working out on my own before starting at Xcel but I didn’t really know what I was doing. Julie taught me how to work on specific muscle groups and actually engage my abs when doing core exercises. I now feel confident in working out on my own and I still attend Fit Life, a group class through Xcel, in order to stay accountable and have fun!

Julie worked with me for six months and helped me reach my goal weight--a drop of 15 pounds! In my program, she provided nutritional counseling and provided a binder that I could take home, which was incredibly beneficial. I still have the list of healthy foods that I should be eating tacked onto my refrigerator, and it serves as a great reminder several months later. Julie also incorporated workouts into my program. We met once a month and my sessions were tailored to my needs and goals. After 6 months, I walked away 15 pounds leaner and more confident than I'd felt in years. It was a great experience, and I highly recommend Julie and Xcel Performance!
