“For the most part employees are nice..usually out of stuff I frequently purchase but given the time of year(flu season) and covid-19 its understandable! Wish they get different items in..seems be same stuff(like decor)”

“This is a great DG. Christmas sale was only 25%off...bummer. They had no saltine crackers....but that issue is at other stores too. Watch for traffic when leaving parking area.”
“I always enjoy shopping at five and below and the staff are always really cool and super kind. This is a great place to shop if you're trying to get some really cool gifts and you don't have a lot of money to spend. I went in there the other day expecting to spend $100 and I only spent around $50. I've been shopping there for years and I've only had to take a couple items back that broke. These are $5 items so you get what you pay for but a lot of these items are high quality.”
“I go to dollar general a lot! Right around the corner from my house. Love it! Today though I sent my granddaughter and two of her friends down. Told them to look around I’d be there after I got dressed. Took me longer then expected. Just leaving when the girls came back. They were thrown out of the store because they were only looking around. Had no money. They didn’t argue with the person. Just left. Then the lady told me we’d talk about it later. Wow. Judging kids sad. Come to find out she’s a teacher at Concord. Wow”

“There is almost always a dollar general near by here in Indiana and even when I leave the state I know I can count on a dollar general nearby and that’s so nice when your able to know you can find what you need there. This isn’t my normal grocery place but this is my back up and where I go if I’m not close to home I love it 10/10 recommend and they have great sales”

“I will say it’s definitely more stocked than those close to me in Elkhart. However, it’s too crammed and the baby section for instance is lacking compared to others. The self check out is always closed. But hey it’s open and has the things ya need to get by until you go to a big store. Of course I can find little complaints but either way the parking lot is great for gambling if you’re from Indiana and need a place to park and online casino bet!!”
“Clean but the cashier was mud. Didn't greet or try to up sell. Didn't say anything else not even the total. Just scanned my items and handed me my receipt. Maybe its because he is old”

“The best prices on pop that rotates through every brand. Easy to zip in and out. You don't have to worry about what you look like. To those who say they never worry, you're a lair. The staff is always friendly and helpful especially considering working at one of these stores must be the worst because of the clientele, sometimes, want more than they deserve plus thieves abound in these stores. Are they pristine? Of course not, why would they be? If you want pristine go to Martins and pay triple if not more for your products then but do me a favor, don't complain about a store that does the most for the lower end of the socioeconomic scale...Just take your highfalutin attitude somewhere else and stop reporting the stores we need.”

“This is my absolute new favorite store to stop in at. Some really great prices and clean. They also have a really cool spot for beautiful furniture and other little household items that are discounted. She is always very friendly and very personable. You can tell she cares so much about her customers. Definitely frequent this place!”
