The experience I had here is overall awful. I had a booked reservation couple of days prior, to take a car, and leave it in Chicago, since I flew back home from O'hare. Not only did they cancel the reservation at 8AM on the day of travel, but refused to help in any way. Called every single location, and my call either does not go through, or they cannot help me. Utterly dissapointed. Do not recommend.

Reserved a car to return Sunday which I did. Location is closed Sundays so they charged me as if I had the car all day Sunday and most of Monday since they didn’t check the car in until 2 pm Monday even though it was there just after noon Sunday. My bill went from $106 to $297!

Was over charged 1000 miles extra on a one way rental returned to the location. Everytime I tried calling to correct the situation was put on hold and then hung up on. Finally after a 45 min hold and sharing a photo the odometer when returned CS agreed to correct the charges but still waiting for that correction

The rental car I received was short almost 1/8 of a tank of gas. I didn’t have time to go back in and deal with it, so I took a picture of the fuel gauge and mileage at pickup, and then another picture at drop off since they were closed at the time of drop off. I returned the car with more gas than it had at pickup. I wanted to return it with a full tank, but since they shorted me so much on fuel, I was forced to stop for gas about 30 miles from the return location to refuel so I wouldn’t run out of gas. I would have stopped much closer if they’d done their job and given me a car with a full tank. I didn’t have time to stop again to top off the tank, so it was a tiny tick below the full line. They charged me a $20 fuel charge. I have wasted 20 minutes trying to call the local office or Customer Service to resolve, but their phone tree is a horrible doom loop because they don’t really want to help anyone. No easy way to contact them via phone, email, or chat. They make it hard in purpose so you give up. So frustrating. I would just eat the cost but it’s a work trip and goes against company policy, so it’s a big, unnecessary headache. Car also didn’t drive well and had pet hair, no real cup holders, and filthy center console. This location had been hit or miss for me, as some past experiences have been good and others meh.

All as expected. While I had seen poor reviews, my experience was good. The rental service was easy and agents friendly. No reason to not recommend!

If I could give a lower rating, I would! Nothing this location has done, just the company in general! Customer service? Trash! Rental car? Raggedy! Company? Terrible! The worst experience I have ever had! Traveling back from Tennessee and the car stopped in the middle of the highway with me and my family! Roadside assistance couldn’t have cared less! Sat on the phone with roadside assistance for 3 hours to not even get any results. Paid for our own tow truck and can’t even get that money back! I was charged twice for the car! Still waiting to hear back with an explanation of that! Customer service stopped responding to me. Tried to sign into my account to get the digital receipt, can’t do that. Ask for paper copies of your rental agreement! The best they could do was give an $100 rental certificate.. yeah, okay! I will NEVER recommend this place.

They never answer the phone (more than 5 calls) and are unhelpful when I went the office as well. Had to drive to the airport to a Hertz that could deal with my issue. Going to Enterprise next time.

I recently went with a close family
Members who had never obtained a rental due to an accident before. I’m giving this a 1 star due to the conversation and handling by the front desk girl. When we first arrived we provided a name and was asked if we scheduled the rental that day because the name couldn’t be found. After they found it “checking another system” she began asking questions as part of check in process but when their response was not understood, it was attitude and condescending talk from there by the front desk agent. Any questions or statement from there was presented with attitude as if after 3 min of being there she was over us. It’s a shame for someone to have their first unexpected experience due to a car accident to be presented this way. When the keys were given I asked if they do a walk around of the car together(cause I’ve personally only had experience with Enterprise and National) , was told “No, we do all inspections ahead of time but you can take photos”. If that is Hertz process, I understand however after the experience with Hertz thus far that day anyone can understand our distrust with potential issues. After checking the car, the cleaning job was just sad. Sticky substance on steering wheel, crumbs on floors etc. To those maybe getting a rental from here and you want peace of mind? I’d say look elsewhere.

It’s so hard to get them to answer their phone. They call you because they never have the cars you can reserve and then when you need to call back hours on end no one picks up the damn phone

We planned to return the rental car after hours since the store was closed, but when we arrived, all of the designated parking spots were full. We called customer service to ask about returning it to a different location, but they told us it would cost $500 to change the drop-off spot. When we picked up the car, we specifically asked if there would be any issues with after-hours return, and were told there wouldn’t be. In the end, we had to pay an extra $150 just to extend the rental until the store reopened the next day. Super frustrating and disappointing experience.

Friendly and had a car to rent for my 20 year old daughter, while hers is getting repaired. Only problem so far is that the rental smells like cigarette smoke in it!

EDITED TO RESPOND TO THE OWNER: We've tried all of the support routes. If your location would bother to pick up the phone or return a call, maybe we could get this resolved, but your customer service is the worst I've ever experienced.

We returned our rental car here a week ago and they made an error by not closing out the rental. We've been charged every day and cannot get a hold of the local location in order to remedy. Hertz corporate is working on it, but the lack of customer service for this location is WILD!
