“Update 1/22/24 Holly my current claims agent has been nothing but friendly & very helpful. Protective covered every part of my injury claim. If I could not get a hold of my agent, I could call the main line and get help. I hope others get better service.
Workman’s Comp claim. I injured my back at work. My sister took me to ER as I could barely walk. After MRI doc said looks like surgery inevitable & referred me to spine doc. Insurance said no, you gotta go through ProMed, basically PT. I called ProMed & told them my situation & they said they could not help & I needed to go to spine doc. Finally got in to see pain management doc & she said have to see surgeon. She also prescribed me a nerve med along with Norco. Filling the script was a huge pain as the Rx company has to call adjuster to get approval… that’s IF they could get a hold of anyone. A week later & several phone calls made, my script went though…a week of unnecessary pain! What the heck? I had to get an MRI, which I did do, and a week later, on a Monday, I got in to see him & he recommended surgery over shots & PT. There is a moderately bulging disk that is displacing my nerve causing numbness down my leg & weakness where I cannot lift my leg. They scheduled me for that Thursday. The surgeon office & I both had tried to contact adjuster but didn’t hear back til the day of surgery that they were denying me until I went to go see another doctor of their own request. ALL this time, I tried calling Kayla, my original adjuster, but she never returned calls! She returned a few emails in the beginning but now I get nothing. It’s been 5 weeks since my injury and here I sit…. If I can update, I will… sure hope I don’t have more damage due to the fact that no one wants to return my calls! Might be a call to a lawyer soon if nothing is done this week!”
“Customer service never responded to my two emails about one claim, but the second claim was processed right away and a check was sent out 2 weeks later. I wasn’t even asked for anything else for that one which is great since I’m so busy getting ready for a baby. I would give five stars if they answered the other emails for the other claim.”
