“Some of the lowest gas prices in the area, consistently.

The downside: everybody else knows Costco has some of the lowest gas prices in the area, consistently, so the lines to the pump can be long.”

“Have been taking cars to Logans for almost 30 years. Jeff and sons are great mechanics. Honest, hard working, along with reasonable pricing. Wouldn't take my '77 Nova any place else.”

“Stopped to fill up the vehicle. I went to the cashier instead of scanning my debit card at the pump. I did this for 2 reasons. One was to use my Kroger plus card for my fuel discount. The second was due to the fact I didn't want to chance that the pumps scanner had been messed with causing me extra charges. The cashier lady was friendly and knowledgeable.”

“The only thing that could make Costco gas better is if they used a red light and green light system to have cars pull forward. The impatient people who pull in to the last pump throw everything off in busy times. Wait a minute and keep the line going faster.”

“This gas station is awesome because it has so much inside. We need more gas stations like this around indiana. It's similar to the wawa gas station in Florida.”

“Very convenient location when I’m in the Greenwood area always very clean well lit. Very safe area also which is extremely important to me. Large gas station easy to maneuver to get to the pumps, which is much appreciated. Also, they always have towels and window cleaning fluid to clean the windows. Highly recommend this location.”

“I LOVE our new gas station! It is a hopping place so I am not the only one! It is always clean, working, and the bonus is that they carry my favorite Taffy! This is the only gas station on the Eastside I visit now for fill ups and snacks! Thank you for coming our way, Thortons!”

“I usually use a credit card while paying for gas but opted to fill up using cash. I left $100 at the counter and only received $55 worth of fuel. I received a phone call and forgot to retrieve the balance. I went back the next day, they had my change set off to the side, awaiting my return. This business operates with the highest honesty and integrity and is a true asset to the community!”

4.2 Good53 Reviews

“This gas station is always clean and very well maintained. The prices are normally fair, especially with the Kroger member discount. Unlike other grocery store gas stations, this one always has people, but it is never so crowded that you have to wait to pump.”

4.3 Superb79 Reviews

“Always enjoy getting fuel there competitive price sometimes they're a little high but most of the time they're competitive and I think it's a little bit better gas”

“I love shopping at this Kroger but the people they do hire behind the counter are not as friendly or personable as the cashiers inside the store. Otherwise love everything else about it.”

“So nice to have a gift card. Fuel only keeps gas budget handy for the long commute to the government center. Compliance with 'Return to Office' & rising gas prices. Pump area needs stocking and pressure wash.”

“I love this gas station. It's well stocked and clean. The owners are cool and their prices are reasonable. They have a good selection of vapes, both nic and hemp. They also have box mods and glass. I have never eaten at the restaurants but I'm sure they are good. I have also had better than average luck on lottery here.”

“I stop in at this speedway often mainly because the gas prices here are cheaper than anyplace else on this part of the south side. The employees are always friendly and get me in and out of there in a hurry, whenever I have to go inside. And amazingly (and unlike many in the area) this filling station actually has all the amenities necessary to clean the windows of my car. For some reason, most places just don't keep them filled anymore. I def suggest stopping in here if you're ever in the area. They're awesome!”

“Well, I went to put air in my tire, and I had my great grandson with me. We went to the register to pay for some chips and get quarters for the air, and the man behind me in line insisted on paying for the chips and my $2. In quarters because he said my granddon was so cute (he's 2), I said that he didn't need to, but he insisted, so I let him pay. The place was clean. The employees were friendly, well everyone was friendly so all in all I had a great experience there.”

“The gentleman in the shop helped me out in a pinch and I'm very grateful. Leaving a good review was the least I could do in gratitude. Glad there's people like him around.”

“My friend says they have the best gas in town. They do have excellent pork rinds and you never know what wacky behavior might be encountered by the locals. The other day a woman was badgering an old man about blocking a pump and he gave it to her verbally! She had it coming and all onlookers got a good laugh saying " I knew he was going to give it to her!"”

“Did you just come from the freeway? Do you desperately need gas? You may pass two other gas stations but they are on the opposite side of this road - this one is on your side! (Along with a marathon gas station). Very easy to access. If you use Kroger rewards you may have some nice fuel discounts waiting for you at the pump.”

“Citgo is practically the definition of a neighborhood food/gas mart. If you've been paying attention over the last few years, you've likely seen a resurgence of Citgo locations in Indianapolis. This is especially true in urban locations. I'm somewhat surprised I've never reviewed this location, though I'll openly admit I don't go to it particularly often despite the fact that it's the nearest gas station and convenience store to my home. When I initially moved into my neighborhood about 12 years ago, this was a mostly empty corner with a small strip center at the corner of 42nd & Emerson that included (and still includes) a day care center, a hair stylist, and a couple other small businesses. After a while, a convenience store opened. Eventually, it would add gas pumps and become Citgo. There's no question I live in sort of a transitional neighborhood. I wouldn't exactly call it a rough area, but it's close to a rough area. It's a unique neighborhood that goes from lower middle-class working (my street) to comfortably middle-class and mostly older families the closer you get to 46th & Emerson. However, if you go south a couple of blocks you have multiple vacant apartment complexes and challenges with crime at 38th & Emerson. It's a neighborhood that was hit heard by the 2008 economic downtown. It's also the kind of neighborhood where Citgo tends to go. This Citgo offers gas, food items, fresh items, beverages, ice, propane, and most things you can find at a convenience store. There's an ATM inside. It's open 24/7 and is fairly well lit. Access isn't ideal - there's a ramp toward the end of one end of the sidewalk that works, but can occasionally be blocked. The employees here are generally friendly. While it's open 24/7, I have to be honest and say even though it's within wheeling distance of my home there's almost no chance I'd come here in the middle of the night. However, I will note that this particular location doesn't tend to have a lot of problems. Because it's adjacent to a strip center, across from a school, and down the street from a church, it seems to mostly attract true neighborhood folks and/or people simply stopping for gas. This location is officially known as "Yankee Food Mart," which I find a little unusual but no one calls it that and it's not on any signage. Citgo offers an app, a fuel rewards program, and they are a very charitable company. They've donated over $250 million to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. While Citgo has primarily been known in recent years for its connection to Venezuela, it started out in the early 20th century as a company started by Henry Doherty known as the Cities Service Company. In fact, Doherty joined with Josef Pulitzer to add nighttime lighting to Lady Liberty and was crucial in the early days of public utilities. The company actually has a really fascinating history. This Citgo is a place I'll occasionally go for beverages or a simple need where I don't want to get in the car. While it's within wheeling distance of my home, the sidewalk is a little rough and I have to be kind of careful. That said, there's a ramp and the aisles are workable in a wheelchair. I've only purchased gas here once, however, the pumps are fairly well situated and I can easily maneuver my wheelchair. They also offer a coin-operated air pump. This certainly isn't a destination spot on Indy's eastside. It's a neighborhood gas station available 24/7 with a food mart included. It's generally quiet, well lit, pricing is consistent with convenience stores, and they've been a good neighbor for me. Other than an occasional person walking through a narrow path behind their building that's semi-adjacent to my yard, I've had no concerns. The Citgo website indicates they're locally owned and operated.”

“Love this place I've been coming here for 10+ years. If you have an issue, let someone at the counter know they will definitely fix it. The owners are awesome and we appreciate them very much. I and my entire family go here so I can definitely say they are family people.”

“With gas going up and down so much, mostly up, we just go to the one that is cheapest. Sometimes it's just for something we need to pick up and who might carry things that nobody else does.”

“We stopped to use the bathroom here with seven kids. Didn’t buy anything. Dude comes out and gives us 5 bags of Paqui chips for the kids. One of those times when you realize how much kindness is still left in the world.”
