“There's approx. 4 laundromats in close proximity I could use, but I don't. I've tried them all and they don't feel as comfortable to me as this one does. Prices are decent, it's open 24 hours, there are various sized washers for your needs AND you don't have to spend over .75 to get your clothes dry, if you don't stuff the dryers. I appreciate it being clean each time I come...no matter the day or time. Thanks for being in my area.”

“I been coming here for roughly a year now and I would say I like coming here for the safe space and reasonable prices for the mechanics. Only thing is that there are no working bathrooms while we are washing clothes. During the winter time it’s no heatand during the summer there is no A/C.”

“I used to use another company, now i've switched to Lansing Cleaners. Their staff are very friendly and always willing to help. They have great coupons in different newspapers and at the local supermarket. I use them for all of my dress clothes and suits, but i have also used them for my sleepingbags. THEY DO A GREAT JOB. I've not had an issue, and i've used them over 30 times!”
“This place is great. It’s wonderful for our community. The employees are awesome & always willing to help however they can. Some even share their soap when a customer needs a tad bit. A week ago one of the employees offered a senior a ride. Coloring sheets are offered to children so parents can wash stress free. Employees share their Expertise on how to properly wash or get rid of stains. Their very friendly and always have a smile. Over all this is a great community laundry mat. Best in town if you ask me”

“My husband and I came here to wash our blankets and comforters. We washed them ourselves because the pricing for the workers to wash them for us was too expensive. We used the mega washer that washed 3 blankets in 25 minutes. We also used one of the commercial Maytag washers for our other two blankets which took about 45 minutes. They came out clean. We used the commercial dryers against the wall. It dried in a good amount of time, about 20 minutes. The reason we gave a 4 star review is because of the cleanliness and appearance of the laundromat. It is very outdated and dirty. The floors look like they haven’t been cleaned in years, the walls are dirty, and there is a lot of cobwebs in the corners. Other than those three things, the washers and dryers were clean and efficient.”

“This is a newly remodled 24 hour laundromat. The new machines do a good job getting your clothes clean. This uses a card to activate machines.On your first visit you need to get a card from a vending machine. You need a credit card to do this. The card is associated to an account in which the money is deposited. You can add more money to your card either by credit card or cash. As you use the machines, you swipe the card and the cost is deducted from the account. Keep your card for future visits.”

“Took in four Jerseys. Two in ok shape probably could've cleaned myself. The other 2 an off white jersey with some red stains and an older Kober Jersey I hadn't worn in years because of the condition it was in and I didn't want to put it in the washer. Almost forgot about it. Got everything back clean and my White Kobe jersey nearly looks new. Great job and really affordable.”
“Well our washer went out and we needed to get our laundry done. So we tried this place out. Everything worked, nice people and the large washers can handle bed comforters. We were able to get everything done quickly.”

“It’s decent but was really thrown off one thrusday evening a few weeks ago I went in with just a small load. There was a younger white male.. kept bothering the female customers trying to flirt .. was outside smoking weed with about 3/4 other young guys. Customer was standard the counter about 10 minutes before the worker realized and came back in.”
“I remember in the early 1960s my father took his pants here every week...parked out front and sent me and my brother in....they gave free lollipops... don't know if they do anymore....but a few years later my dad switched to the old Norge Village that used to be in Almar Plaza...no lollipops. There used to be a Gulf Oil station next to Charm Cleaners. I remember they had a big handwritten sign out front that said "white gas." Must have been there till at least 1965, because I could not read before then. I thought it meant that their gas was white. Did not realize till years later that it meant that they did not serve "coloreds". But Magnusson's Standard across the street did not discriminate. I think South Holland was still a "sundown town" back then.”

“Gosh Lynn, I don't remember you working here. This company has been operating for well over 50 years and I've been running it for my husband since 2009. I grew up on the East Side and attended George Washington HS so I still consider myself "home" when I am here. Our company does have production standards that each employee has to meet . At 50 years old I am able to continually meet those standards so I expect nothing less from my employees. Being punctual (which means to show up on time) is also a key factor to staying employed here. If someone was let go because they couldn't perform the job that was asked of them or couldn't show up on time that does not make me a racist.”

I've had to stop by other cleaners on occasion but realized you can't beat the reasonable pricing of Griffland. They are also very thorough and detailed with their stain-lifting and needle work. “I enjoy washing my clothes here. I love the atmosphere, but I will warn the place is really small. My only main gripe that I want to warn people of is that Google maps says this place open on Sunday at 7:00am and I don't think it's true. I came to wash clothes on Sunday at 7 and ALL the business (Oh Hen pantry included)were still closed.. I waited until 7:15 before I decided to leave.. I'm guessing they open at 8(like they do during the weekday), or maybe did open at 7 at one time, but not now since Covid.Again great place to wash your clothes but be aware the open times on Google may need to be adjusted.”

I drop off my laundry and they do a fantastic job in washing and folding everything so nicely; also the people that work there are so friendly; I always have a nice conversation when I drop off or pick up my belongings, they're helpful and will carry things to my car if I have a lot of laundry.
