“This gym has absolutely changed my life. I have never been able to maintain a life of exercise or find a form of exercise that I truly enjoyed. Several years ago after my cancer journey, I joined AF to get my health and strength back. I enrolled in small group classes and luckily when I started the classes, Papo had just started his training career with AF. He has been the best trainer for me and continues to be a huge inspiration!! I have my ups and downs but have never quit and that is huge for me. I also love the family atmosphere and close friendships I have developed by doing the small group classes. I can’t imagine not having my AF family. ❤”

“It was an early morning … 6 am. I was greeted by a smiling coach ready who helped me adapt the workouts. I had a do a burpee… many of them, but the coaches were very kind in helping me improve my technique and pointed to a man who I nicknamed “Splat Adam.” Every time he hit the floor you could hear the splat of his sweat and I knew that was a man working hard. Everyday I strive to be a little more like Splat Adam.”

The staff here is great and show they care about the gym and everyone who comes in. My only gripe I would say is I wish the price wasn’t as high as it is. “The arena is old, dark, dank, and hot. It has the feel of a super old school wrestling venue. I like the charm of an old building, and I love to support indy wrestling. I've seen some killer shows in this building. The only complaint I have is when it's hot. It is HOT. Summer months going to shows here can be brutal. But to support the local talent and be a part of a fun crowd is usually worth it. If you're a wrestling fan and you haven't been here, go support some local talent who may be the stars on your TV soon.”

“Just tried the aerial yoga class with Courtney Lantz and had a great experience! I'm very unathletic and had never been in an aerial sling before. But the atmosphere was extremely welcoming and beginner friendly. Courtney gave excellent instructions and was very encouraging. Being in the sling is delightfully comfy and allows for some stretches that would be much harder to get on the ground. The pace is gentle with lots of flexibility for tailoring to what your body can do and what you feel it needs. And class ends with a guided relaxation exercise while hammocked in the sling. I didn't think to take a single picture, but I'll definitely be back for yoga or other classes!”

The clients are polite and diligent about wiping down after use. I was especially pleased at the quality the of yoga instructors. That is the main reason while I joined the Y and not other gyms. The staff are helpful and friendly.”

“An interesting free self guided tour to watch artisans in glass making ornaments and paperweights. A roving attendant is available to ask questions. Learning the basics to melting the raw glass, loading a rod, shaping, coloring and the use of alternating heating, rolling, cooling, etc was enjoyable. An excellent gift shop with a broad range of low to high end pieces is the centerpiece. There is also a commercial hands on area available as well as a paid tour to participate with glass workers.”
