“Beautiful shop with the sweetest owner who will tell you all you need to know about the plant of you choosing. I also noticed that it doubles as a refill store for soaps and detergents accompanied by popular sustainable products such as the bamboo dish scrubber among others. A wonderful place overall.”
“Loved this place! Did a tour through the lab and saw a lot of really cool bugs/insects. Our tour guide seemed to have a blast talking to everyone and explaining about the purpose and history of the butterfly farm. The gift shop also had a good selection of items.”
“Yesterday my daughter and I attended a Fall porch pot class at Walnut Ridge Nursery. Folks, you missed out on a great opportunity! Beautiful weather, friendly staff, informative instructor (thank you, Mike!). We were encouraged to add as many plants/as many varieties as we wanted to the HUGE pot provided, given helpful suggestions on design, and given a secret potion (!) to guarantee plant growth. For a relaxing, reasonable activity, keep an eye open for Walnut Ridge classes!”
“Love this store! I came here looking for a money tree and Brooklyn pointed me straight to them, taught me how to make it grow into a braid, taught me everything I need to know about how to care for it, and even gave me advice on how to care for some other plants I have at home. She was such a breeze to talk to. She’s the perfect person you want to have on your team! Thank you so much for being so amazing!”
“Helpful, friendly, knowledgable, a resource for advice as well as top quality fish, plants, equipment and supplies. We are total novices who two years ago decided to dig a hole and fill it with fish. We bought two 5” Koi, waited a few weeks, then bought two more; one died (after many months, we don’t blame the store). The other 3 have thrived, rapidly growing to well over 12” in just those two years. A water lily I bought from them 4 years ago (my first purchase there) has been moved 3 times to 3 different ponds, indoors and out, and is still putting out blooms. Highly recommended.”
“Growers PARADISE!!! I genuinely love this place. They stock great products for us home growers. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful in choosing the right product for your needs. They have plant starts and even build cedar boxes. If you are new to gardening then they will help get you growing. They also sell compost soil by the scoop. The Flea off Market is held in the parking lot often and is a cool little market.”
“This New Albany location is a bit harder to get in and out of, and they are too landlocked to improve the store in any significant way. But their staff is helpful.”
“Didn't know they could possibly keep my backpack blower for a month while under warranty during the fall when I needed it the most but, I know it will be fixed and I thought I posted this but, obviously I didn't. Got a call yesterday morning and it's ready to get picked up after a week and a half.???”
“I love the Home Depot..this store has everything including a very helpful and knowledgeable staff. I buy plants in the spring and fall. Great selection. I buy anything I need for my house, yard and lawn at Home Depot. Not happy with a purchase, no problem customer service will help you get it right. Not sure about a product, ask. You could save yourself a lot of time and energy when someone explains how to use what you are buying.Home Depot has been around for quite awhile, thank goodness!”
“Super nice people, decent prices. Product (in this case, landscaping rock and mulch) is good quality. Mostly sells in bulk (I think quarter ton?) But also have some smaller options available.”
“I went to Menards the other day and talked to an older man in flooring. He couldn't answer my questions and seemed bothered by me asking, so he got a young gentleman named Luke to help me. Luke answered every question and took time to advise me on different options. We walked out feeling secure that we knew exactly what supplies we need and who to come to when we get them. I am grateful this young man took time to help me. I give him five stars!”
“Family owned business that is passionate about their business and their personnel. One step beyond the farm with good quality products for farmers and contractors. Community minded and always willing to give a challenged employee a chance after completing a drug or alcohol treatment program, which is more than most companies do now a days. Emotionally rewarding to have worked there, but now retired.”
“Good customer service. I found all the supplies needed for a DIY job. It helps a lot finding the item online because it gives you the location. It makes it easier to locate the items in the store.”
“Rick provided a quote and got our irrigation system installed when he said he would. Had a couple minor issues the first year it was operating, Rick and his team took care of things. His pricing is very fair and his co. does good work”
