“Yesterday I needed to move a large piece of furniture for my daughter. I called the Middletown location and talked with Tim Mobley the Middletown Manager.
Tim was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Tim put me in one of their Vans, which was perfect for what I had to move. I was so impressed with how clean the van was, it was low mileage, got good gas mileage and the ride was really good.
In my opinion Tim and Sternberg Truck & Van Rental don't have an equal in the truck and van rental business. They are the standard for all their competitors to reach for.

The two guys I spoke with on the phone were incredibly helpful, walking me through things to try/troubleshooting before coming out to look at the RV. I ended up being able to fix the issue myself with their guidance. I really appreciate this business and them taking the time to help me solve the problem. Any future issues I will be calling them. “The container, pads, and delivery were clean and new. Items arrived in perfect condition. While customer service was polite, the communication and synchronization of local office with national office of delivery and pick-up times needs improvement. I received numerous communications with conflicting times for pickup of full and then, empty containers - this created stress and caused me to make several calls to ensure our container would not be picked up before we had a chance to empty it. The very short window of time to confirm pick up of empty container is only available via a phone call and thus is flawed if you are enroute on a plane and can't make a phone call like we were.”
“Great experience! I was blown away with how Lanley took care of me when I needed a trailer on short notice. He worked with me better than any corporate type Uhaul location ever could, truly appreciated. Quick stop off of the Interstate, and then right back on, perfect location if you need a trailer to head into Indiana and back.”
“Davie was friendly. We had a few issues with our reservation but we worked them out. We had reserved the truck for 24 hours because we didn't know how long it was going to take us. Upon returning the truck we were charged $20 gas charge. Yes, the owner told us to return on a 1/2 tank however, it wasn't a 1/2 tank when we got it. It was under the line. When we put gas in the truck, it was back at the line, if not a little more.Throughout my years of reserving trucks, I've NEVER, that I can recall been charged for the gas. I always put it back were it was to avoid that fee. So we had put $15 in the tank and was charged another $20 on top of that.Also I've never had the owner return a truck for me. I always handle that when I return it but I did not get the chance to do that. I am thankful that I took pictures before to have a documentation.Other than that, we had a good experience at this location.”
“This is a family-owned business look like they've been in the neighborhood for many years they have great service although they couldn't supply what I needed today but they did help me with information so they will do what they can do to help you whatever is within their power to do it's a good shot you should go by they have a lot of rental equipment there.”

The service Department has great people working there very professional & knowledge the mechanics is truly the best.
How many dealership does anyone know that wash the engine after working on it when you the customer didn't ask for it.

“After having a horrible experience with another truck rental company, I was in a crunch and needing a moving truck the same day. I should've called Sternberg FIRST! None of the big name truck rental company's had a truck available on such short notice, but Sternberg Truck Rental did! Not only did they have a truck the size we needed but they were also super friendly and extremely professional! Affordable too! I actually don't live very close to this truck rental but I will always go here from now on. I promise you, it's worth the drive! They know how to handle their customers and they truly provide excellent service. No other rental company can compare to how great they are.”

“The staff were great, and one person saved me a headache! I was parked in their lot and a tow truck driver had mistaken my car for one broken down. The staff woman recognized my car, ran out, and made sure the wrecker got the correct car, even though the driver kept insisting mine was the right one. I really appreciate her assertiveness and attention to detail. Also, rental was easy and everyone was friendly.”
“Penske trucks are very well maintained as a fleet of moving trucks. I'm not going to comment on the others however, Penske trucks I know very well and it's my choice when it's time to rent a truck. You do see the difference in not only driving the truck but the additional accessories and equipment the truck has to offer. Last, the ride of a Penske truck in my opinion is above the others. This matters very much at the end of the day!”
“This was an alternative site to pick up the rental truck. It was not the location I originally chose to do business with so I was transfered to this site to pick up the truck. The truck was available when I arrived to get it and the representative helped me complete the contract. The truck was in great condition with only 430 miles on the odometer.”
“It's usually pretty good but we rented a truck online and went to pick it up and no truck.the person that rented it hadn't brought it back. So we wer apparently getting the truck contingent on if the other person returned it on time which is a crappy way to run things. Either get more trucks or don't rent out ones you can't guarantee. You're lucky you're getting 4 stars”
“The last real person lit their nasty mattress in box spring in my truck. What for the most part?The return was okay.Those lock boxes need to be located where you can access them at any height where I was was very slippery and the ice surrounding kept making me slip...I almost fell a few times. Okay other than that.”
