Dollar General in Fort Wayne provides everyday essentials at affordable prices, including food, snacks, health and beauty products, cleaning supplies, basic apparel, housewares, seasonal items, paper products, and more, from trusted brands and private labels. The store also sells tobacco and offers savings through the myDG program. Customers appreciate the friendly staff and positive atmosphere, with some noting that the store is often clean and lively. However, there are occasional issues with stock availability and clutter in the aisles due to staffing challenges. Customers have experienced unprofessional behavior from staff, including disrespectful treatment at checkout and inappropriate comments about customers, which negatively impacts the shopping experience. Despite these issues, many find the overall service satisfactory and are able to find what they need, including last-minute purchases like remote controls. Maintaining a clean and organized environment remains a challenge, but the store continues to serve as a convenient location for everyday essentials.
This is my absolute favorite store! The management and the staff are so friendly! The music is always great and the temperature is beautiful

This place has went through so many changeovers with closing the store and getting things to where nobody was stealing through them and the manager is just absolutely amazing. This place has is top notch when it comes to a Dollar general now
