“When we first broached the idea of getting married in the Notre Dame Basilica, I was so worried about feeling like I had a “Notre Dame Wedding” instead of “our wedding”. When we walked into Palais Royale on a tour and met Allie and team I knew I’d never feel that way. Palais Royale is an INCREDIBLE space that guests are still complimenting months later. Allie, Misty and their team went above and beyond to make our day special and even better than what we envisioned. The Navarre food was amazing - we are also still receiving compliments months later!! Truly I cannot say enough amazing things about our experience, and highly highly highly recommend to any Notre Dame and/or South Bend area brides!!”

“As a father of the bride who wants to give his daughter who graduated from Notre Dame the perfect wedding, I cannot think of any other reception venue in South Bend that I would consider having my daughters wedding reception at than the Dahnke Family Ballroom. And I cannot recommend any two people better to work with at Venue ND than Amber, our Sales Specialist and Heather, our Event Specialist to make your daughters dreams come true! I can’t begin to tell you how hard both of these young women worked to make all of our ideas come to fruition for our daughter and son in-law special day! This was the first wedding in the new Dahnke Family Ballroom at Notre Dame and it would not have happened without Amber’s persistence! Also there were many out of the box surprises that Heather worked with me on over the last seven months for this wedding and regardless of how unusual they were - she knew how important they were to us and why - and did everything possible to make them all happen! The professionalism, communication, and effort that both of these young women gave as well as ND Studios, the A/V Department, and the Athletic Department at Notre Dame to make it a wedding event our daughter and son in-law will always remember was summed up on this text from my daughter that I received the night of the wedding: “We didn’t get to say good night to you guys! Thank you for the best wedding ever!! It’s more than we could have ever dreamed of!! Love you!”
I will always be indebted to Amber and Heather and all of the staff at Venue ND for a wedding weekend that our daughter, son-in law, our families and all of our guests said was the best wedding they have ever been too! From the golf cart drivers, to the greeters, to the coat check staff, to security - every team member was exceptional and they all provided that special Notre Dame hospitality! We are so grateful to have found a special place for our daughter’s cocktail reception and wedding reception that will live in all our hearts forever - thank you Venue ND!”

The front desk staff are always happy to help and a pleasure to be around. Katrina, Shakar, Phoebe, Connor, and Bo were nice to talk with.
Housekeeping does a wonderful job with the rooms. I especially enjoyed Silvia, who always smiled and waved at me when we crossed paths. ☺️
The engineer Paul and maintenance staff provided quick troubleshooting and were able to easily replace my microwave. ?
The manager is a very nice person, very capable of running a smoothly operated hotel through busy events like local college events. And she is a fashion icon. ?
The location is located in the city, but the surrounding area has lots of green areas for dogs, ? including a more secluded greenery away from the cars.
The building is pretty good. I really enjoyed the side patio with overhead heaters, and the shrub wall, which has lovely local finches in the early morning. The pool area was another nice area to warm up. There is a water bottle refill fountain which I appreciate.
The wash and dryer are priced well, around $1 each.
The lobby has a cozy side with a tv, couches, and a small desk where I enjoyed working on my laptop. ?
