I recently visited this CVS, which is supposed to be in a nice, safe area and is directly across the street from North Central high school. When I walked in, there were two older homeless men sitting right in the front area of the store who reeked of alcohol.
I politely mentioned my concern to the cashier (an Indian man working at the counter), explaining that it felt unsafe—especially considering the number of high school students who walk over here every day after school. His response? He simply looked at me and turned his head, saying nothing.
I want to be clear—I am not someone who thinks homeless people are inherently bad or that they should be “removed” from public spaces. I understand many are struggling with mental illness and need compassion. But there is a difference between compassion and ignoring a safety issue. When you’re across from a school, there should be standards to ensure children are protected.
CVS management should take this seriously. The front entrance of the store should be safe and welcoming for all customers, especially for minors who frequent the store daily. Ignoring concerns isn’t good customer service, and it certainly doesn’t prioritize community safety.

I don't write many negative reviews, especially with a 1star, but they earned it. (time and time again) This has to be the worst CVS in the city. The techs and pharmacist are as rude as they get here. They never answer the phone and hardly return phone calls. When you come in they are always frantically busy and come off with a very rude/urgent demeanor because of it. Sadly, they will not go out of their way to help answer questions about prescriptions or work with other CVS pharmacy's or the 800 hotline to fix issues. Have a problem, you are met with rudeness and an unwillingness/creativity to help solve said problem. They simply don't care!

Tall lady at the front register is the rudest customer service person I have ever encountered. No smile, no patience, rude demeanor, should be fired. The short lady with long hair was more helpful. If I ever have to check out again with the tall woman at the front register, I will drop my stuff on the counter and walk out. No excuse for her nasty behavior.

I am writing to express my disappointment with the customer service I experienced at your CVS location on 1616 E 86th St, Indianapolis, IN 46240 . I was prescribed medication from Emergen IU and was directed to this location CVS Ditch Road IN 46260 at 4am. However, when I inquired about the medication, I was informed that it was actually at another CVS location 1616 E 86th St, Indianapolis, IN 46240 and that I would need to pick it up from there.
I explained that my blood sugar was high and that I urgently needed the medication that day. Despite this, the staff member refused to assist me at 1616 E 86th St, Indianapolis, IN 46240 , I also mentioned that a request had been sent to their store, the staff member prioritized helping another customer behind me and someone in the drive-thru instead. This was the first time I encountered such unprofessionalism at a CVS pharmacy.
I have been a loyal CVS customer for over 11 years, frequently visiting multiple locations in Carmel, Nora, and Ditch Road, and I have never experienced such poor service. Fortunately, I later went to the CVS on 71st Street East 86 st, where they assisted me promptly and professionally.
I understand that pharmacy staff can be busy—I work in healthcare myself—but being directed to a location that ultimately refused to help me caused unnecessary frustration and wasted a significant portion of my day. I hope this issue is addressed to prevent similar experiences for other customers in the future.

I am very happy with this CVS pharmacy! Every time I visit, I am greeted at the door. The manager, Wayael, is always there working hard and always asks if I need any help finding something. He will then take me to the aisle and section I need.
Angel and the other front counter employees are wonderful! They take the time to find all of my coupons, even though I am terrible with phone technology. They are patient and kind.

Pulled in drive through in total pain, picking up meds, asked the lady kindly if she could grab me some tiger balm please and check me out, and she stared at me like I was dumb and said no. Insane

Tried SEVERAL times to call this CVS at DIFFERENT times of the day and no answer. The automated voice recognition system goes in circles and keeps offering to send texts and prompts me to download the app. I want to deal with a human not another system to gather my data for more potential breaches. This is ridiculous for such a major chain in a highly populated area.

I went to this pharmacy to pick up my prescription and they were closed for lunch. Because of this, I needed to transfer my prescription to a more convenient location. I called and kept getting a voicemail, so instead, I selected the prescriber option and got an immediate answer. I told them my issue, and once I finished speaking, she says “so you’re not a prescriber”, I said “no”, and before I could say anything else, she immediately placed me on a long hold.
Abby comes back on the line, and simply rudely says “who are you looking for”…. I say, Excuse me ma’am “WHAT”. She continues to be very rude and unhelpful, to the point that I become frustrated and disconnect the call. As I’m on hold at another CVS so I can have them transfer my prescription, Abby has the unmitigated gall to call me back and SCOLD me for calling the prescriber line. I inform her that since every time I call I get a voicemail, I would continue to use that option. She then attempts to go back and forth with me until I simply disconnect the call again.
These people at CVS have lost their minds! I am a CUSTOMER! All patrons of pharmacies keep those pharmacies in business. She called and tried to scold me as if I was an employee who worked for her. This interaction has totally rubbed me the wrong way to the point that I will no longer use CVS (and the fact that they don’t answer the phone for customers and send you to voicemail). I mostly use Amazon pharmacy, but because my need for my medication is immediate, I’ve had to deal with them today. But I decided to just have my physician send to Amazon anyway. CVS is a joke.

This is 1 of the WORST pharmacies I have ever dealt with. They never have anything in stock, they can’t manage to fill the correct prescriptions, and if you have a question forget about it because they don’t answer their phone. You can ask in person after standing in line for 30+ min.If you try calling the store staff, they are EXTREMELY rude and unhelpful. They will just transfer you to the pharmacy whether you will either sit on hold until you turn blue or get hung up on.I will never give this store another dime!

Jill, a CVS employee did an excellent job with helping customers. She went out of her way to help every customer who had questions in the store. Good customer service is hard to find these days. Five Stars for Jill!
