Garfield Park Conservatory offers beautiful plants and flowers with a variety in a relatively small space. A waterfall, water features, koi, and cool water plants create a peaceful and warm atmosphere, a wonderful place to visit in cold days of winter. The front desk is welcoming and kind, and the $4 entrance fee supports the conservatory. Visitors enjoy fun activities for all ages, including a model train setup. The conservatory is very navigable with wheelchair accessibility. Visitors of all ages, from a 4‑year‑old who enjoyed plants, fish and Santa, to a 6‑month‑old who loved lights and colors, find delight. The exhibit displays specimen of plants, trees, flowers, and living beings from around the globe, such as banana trees, mango, banyan, and fig trees. Volunteering staff take family pics, and information of the exhibits is informative, though brief.
Loved our time here. We visit often. Can’t beat a $4 entrance fee that supports the conservatory. The front desk is always so welcoming and kind plus they have fun activities for all ages.
