Ivy Tech Community College - Lawrence is noted as a cool campus with lots of technology and is generally clean with nice, friendly people. The staff are described as amazing and helpful, ready to assist with any problems. However, a common complaint is that the building is often horribly cold. The availability of food is inconsistent, with the cafe rarely open in the morning and vending machines barely full. While they no longer sell books, they do sell helpful class materials. Many students report positive educational experiences and successful transfers to universities.
It’s always refreshing to see a campus culture that truly lives up to its mission. Based on my experience, the staff are accommodating, welcoming and active listeners .
