“This is my first ever review of a store. I am submitting this review because Story has been fabulous to work with. He met my husband and I in the store and helped us plan an entire bath remodel. He designed a custom vanity for us and gave me prices for everything that I requested (sink, shower, custom glass, tile, closet doors, fixtures, and much more). I have emailed him countless times and he has always responded very quickly and answered all of my questions. He has been SO HELPFUL, professional, and has given us outstanding customer service, which is rare these days. (It is difficult to find help in other home improvement stores). They were very informative, I picked what countertop I wanted, the guys that installed it (I wish I remembered their names) were very friendly and professional. “I received my shipment far quicker than I anticipated. I purchased several gift sets. When the package arrived I was happily surprised that it included several samples, tissue paper, and gift bags. The scents are amazing. If you have dry skin as I do, trying the peppermint soap with pumice is an absolute must. It is so refreshing and feels so good on your skin. It would be a great summer soap as well since it has that cooling effect with the peppermint. Very happy with the product and the service. I will be ordering again.”
“We went to have keys made but saw whole lot more. Friendly staff answered all our questions. We also looked at keyless entry front door locks and they had a good selection. I went into the ladies room and had so much fun because they have a smart toilet by Toto in there. It's the kind that when you go in the lid lifts upThe seat is heated. It cleans you, it dries you, And, it cleans the toilet. Loved it now I want one in my bathroom.”

“Designs in Stone did my countertops through Home Depot. The process was seemless. They came when they were scheduled too, professional in everyway. Start to finish was about 6 weeks which is great for custom countertops. I can’t say enough good things about the experience. I live in Lexington and they are located in Louisville but I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Photos before the outlets were switched over to white. The quartz used was Everest which has sparkles in it. It brightened up the kitchen and looks so good. Couldn’t be happier.”
“This is a really nifty place…highly recommend. Usually when my wife and I go into a store like this I just stare at my phone while she looks around. This shop on the other hand is filled with interesting stuff, unique smelling soaps and oils of different sorts, handmade items crafted in other hemispheres… The owner lady had an encyclopedic knowledge of everything we picked up and looked at, and could tell us a whole story about everything in the place. She says she personally sources and curates every single product to make sure of its quality, and that the source fairly compensates the workers/artists making them. We just went in to browse but walked out with a bag full of gifts for folks we know and stuff for the house that we’ve never seen anywhere else. Will definitely go back next time we’re in the area.”

“Pretty clean place to purchase from and I'm a professional in the field and deal with many stores but this here is one that I favor due to the stock and wide variety of tile underlayment core and wood floor as well as tools and tool accessories. Staff is willing to help you and they have a loading area like home Depot and Lowe's so direct competitor to them but a go to for me.”

“One of the brackets holding my most-used silverware drawer broke, and after some sleuthing, I found Kitchen Kompact was the manufacturer of my cupboards—likely installed 20 years ago, two years before I bought my house. I emailed the fine folks at Kitchen Kompact, and Brett mailed me six new brackets, enough to last me another 20 years!
I had also been living with a cupboard door that had been the victim of a fist in a previous lifetime, so I was ecstatic when Brett said he would send me a new cupboard door. Now, I don't have to be reminded of that event anymore.
If I ever redo my kitchen, I'll happily work with these folks to get the job done.”
