We were unaware we would be charge $197.00 just to come out and check if our tank was leaking and an additional $36.00 late fee for a fee we wasn’t aware we would have...wish there was another propane company in the area...but most disturbing is the company have a female supervisor answering the phone that can’t speak proper English and you struggle to understand.

The person who answered the phone literally said "AmeriGas wanted us to freeze because we didn't need home delivery for a portable tank ". Yep that's Customer Service for you now.

Awful experience... Check into other surrounding providers. Every other place I checked in my area offered propane for 50% of what Amerigas charged. Sadly I was a new home owner and just went with what was already there. They like to make up rules on the fly when you are renting their tanks as well. Originally it was as long as you filled the tank once a year it was free rental, then I received a $220 bill for tank rental charge this year. When I called asking why they told me the policy changed it from needing 1 full tank to 2. This is what prompted me to look for new service, and I am glad I did. The problems didn't stop there. After cancelling service they had to come pick up my tank. It was two months waiting for them to get their propane tank so I could have a new one installed! Probably because everyone is cancelling their service with them. When ever you get off the phone with them they always thank you for being a "valued Amerigas customer", don't be fooled. When I told them I was going with another company (Lime City) Amerigas said they would match the rate Lime City offered. Why was I not getting this rate before if I was a valued Amerigas customer? I went from paying $3.00 a gallon to $1.60 (this includes tank rental). Definitely do some research before picking Amerigas.The only reason you are sorry is because you are not getting my money anymore. I would consider cutting off my own limbs and using them to fuel a fire before I would ever contact you again. It should be very obvious to anyone looking at your recent reviews to realize how horrible Amerigas is. Just 1 star rating after another. Keep on going boys! You might hit a record.

The customer service experience was some of the worst I've had. I told them the driver needed to call me prior to delivery so I could be there to let him in to perform leak check. He never called. When somebody finally did come out to do the leak check that I had ALREADY paid for, the tech told me there wouldn't be a charge since this should have been done at the time of delivery. Then I get a bill in the mail for a service call and leak check. When I called in about it and finally got to speak with somebody in the United States, she ended up hanging up on me. You're company wastes my time.

This company does not care one bit about their customers. All they care about is the all mighty dollar. Can't even get propane delivered to our home without paying 1,300.00 up front. And it's like pulling teeth to try and get on a payment plan. They don't care of your children will be without hot water and cooked food. There is no reason they couldn't put us on a payment plan either. We don't owe them money

Everything was ok except the driver didn't leave us a receipt for our gas which was not really a big deal but when I called the automated phone line I got really distracted Because even though it says it understands simple request, it really doesn't and I finally got to talk to a human, she was much better.

You have messed my account up since MayThe mess up is caused by you customer service rep charged me a 3000.00 plus rental fee that no can fix I keep getting the run around on they are fixing how long does it take to fix a mess up and how many people do I need to talk to before the mess up is fixed I guess I need to find a new gas company cause you obviously don’t care we have been a residential customer since 1997I have never had such terrible service I always pay on time and pay my balancesI don’t rent have had the same tank 26 yrsAnd I will never recommend you because I would not want anyone to go thru thisI would appreciate a call from some at corporate office

On Auto delivery for tank top off, NEED TO CANCEL...they only added 3 gallons, not worth the trip with all the taxes and fees it cost more than the actual fuel. Simply ridiculous!

Suggest you update your business hours and then keep them current. I made sure to google this business so that I could verify the business hours. Would of saved me a trip if the correct hours would have been listed!

Changed all of their contract policies. Without notice our local offices and people we'd come to know, we're no longer on the other end of the calls. Calls were now answered at a call center 650 miles away, and we were told we must sign a 3 year contract!?!? We had their equipment removed immediately!
