The Doctors take their time and actually care. The grooming and boarding services are above and beyond too. When the time comes for the unfortunate last visit, they go out of their way to make it as comfortable as possible for you and your pet. Everything about this place is fantastic.”

“Very affordable & kind! No pressure or gasping over your estimate. Dr. Reese ALWAYS presents tiers Plan A/B/C, with pricing; eg Plan A today, if no improvement Plan B/labs. No vaccine pressure. Never pushes a new/brand name/$$$meds.

NOTE: I had recently relocated to Muncie, and needed emergency vet care. My dog with cancer went downhill quickly. She finally expressed pain; it was time to say goodbye. Not a single vet office was willing to work her in on compassionate grounds to give a 2min injection (I tried >20 vets)! Most offices were full for days, and unwilling to help us, knowing our dog was in agony.
Dr. Reese at RIVERVIEW was THE ONLY ONE who said “Yes, I want to prioritize this dog & family in her time of need.”
Keep this in mind when choosing a vet! Ask if they work in emergency care. I appreciate that Riverview is small & focuses on giving the care a local family can afford.

“I'm not big or giving reviews & I'm only doing this one for those who may select a business solely based on the opinion or experience of a half dozen people. If you've read these reviews it may not sit well because a few people had a less than pleasant experience & I can tell you that the former receptionist was severely lacking in her social skills & she seemed to be the problem with most of the haters.Key word here is former because she's long gone now. The new receptionist is very pleasant & as far as the Veterinarians themselves, they have always been great. Dr. Misty is who drew me to Riverview & as long as she's there, we will be too. This is spring 2022 & those one star reviews are from years ago. 2016 was one I remember seeing. Anyway if you were looking for a good review before you decide to try them out then here is another one. It seems to me that it's much more common for those few that had a bad experience at a business to take the time to write a bad review but the hundreds that have great experiences often don't take the time to give credit where credit is due. Maybe they had a bad experience, but in my opinion it's much more likely those people are just "Karen's" that you couldn't please if you tried. Those tend to be the ones who want everyone to see their side only & most of them don't even realize what a bitchy prude they are. so that's something to keep in mind when you see someone give negative feedback. I'm sure some are legit but personally I know that I'm much more likely to leave a review if I have a bad experience somewhere but when things are great I'm a whole lot less likely to give them the good review they deserve. Just being honest here. Yelp is like a bias social credit score system that favors the 90% of the butt holes who tell you everything is bad with this place or that. I've never chosen or not chosen any establishment based on the opinion of someone I don't know from Adam. I Would encourage everyone else to do the same. I'm sure you know someone who's opinion you would value over Joe Schmo from Puerto Rico telling you "no, no". Remember "Karen's" are everywhere these days & if they aren't causing drama in one place they will certainly find another place to do so. I'd say your willingness to trust yelp is about par with putting trust into our corrupt media, and just like the media, they got no love for you or me so don't let them convince you otherwise. If we try really hard we can make common sense common again before it all goes up in smoke.”

“I was hesitant to bring my baby here because they only had 3.5 stars. I'm so glad I chose to bring him anyway. Receptionist were so kind and caring, Sami helped relieve a lot of the worries I had about my pup. Drs were very involved and answered all my questions in a timely manner. Dr. Avila did an amazing job at removing my poor dogs drain from his wound, and assured me of the recovery process. They even clipped my boys nails while he was sedated. I cannot thank them enough! So glad I trusted them with my baby, and you should too!”

“I have used the services here twice and was very pleased both times . First time was years ago my Jack Russell Terrier tried to drag my African Gray parrot through the cage and succeeded in chewing her foot almost off . I was seen by Dr.Hess and as she's finishing up the amputation , she reminded me that the dog was doing what she was bred to do . Both the bird and the dog lived many more years ! More recently, my 2yr old cat was having issues and after being told it was an ear infection from another vet , she declined rapidly on a weekend . I called and they said bring her in . As we arrived we were shown in to a room and as I went to get her out of the carrier, she screamed then went limp . I went to the door and said I think she just passed away and it was instant a swarm of people to try to help . The vet came back in in a few minutes, confirming what I already knew , and spoke with us for about 20 min giving us his opinion of what it could have been ( not an ear inf ) They brought her back to us in a nice little burial bag and my husband took her to the car I went to the desk to pay . The lady told there would be no charge ! And they sent me a sympathy card and flowers ! How sweet !”
