“I only shop with Doug at Grasshopper Flats. He does the best work and will be honest with you about your jewerly for repairs. I've had repairs done at other jewerly stores and they have not been honest with me and their work has been temporary repairs while Doug has done over-satisfactory work in reasonable a reasonable timeframe. I will go to Doug at Grasshopper Flats and NO ONE ELSE!”

“Great shop in the cute town of Nashville, IN. If you are looking for a unique gift this may be your place. Bought a couple cute gifts for Christmas. If you purchase $20 or more you get 10% off - or at least that was offered when we visited.”

“I love this store, but my husband sent our daughter to pick out some turquoise jewelry for me as a surprise gift. The sales lady asked my daughter "if she could afford it ",before she would go in the back to bring out more jewelry that fit the description of what I like. She bought a cuff and a ring in turquoise for me. May be taking my business elsewhere, that's SO RUDE!”

“I was just there Oct. 16th, 2022 and loved it. The prices are low and there are plenty of different types of jewelry to chose from. Oh, did I mention the prices are LOW!”

“This shop has a lot of interesting things and a wide variety too. We had been looking for a "camping flag" on this day and had found a couple we almost bought elsewhere. But it was here we found the one that we liked the best so far. It simply said, "Happy Campers" with a picture of a little RV. The flag was $18 which is comparable to the other shops and the black iron flag pole/stand was $10, the same as everyone else. So we thought it was a good deal. The cashier was super friendly and offered to take my trash and throw it away for me which was kind of him.”

“Staffwoman was the absolute best! Very helpful and knowledgeable! She even helped me pick out some of my stones purchased from Temu that were real/fake. Overall great experience! Happy hunting!-Lanie (a very satisfied customer)??”

“Visited back in June and love the range of fine craftsmanship items throughout the shop. My wife and I were treated very well. Didn’t make a purchase that day but saw several items that we would love to own one day. I’m writing this review now because I just checked out the website again and saw that I could leave a review. We hope to make it back to Nashville and Trilogy again soon.”

“The Totem Post is, quite simply, a Nashville, Indiana icon. It first opened in 1952 and was one of only five shops in town. It is still in the family of founding owners Bill and Marielle Jockey as their daughter now owns it. Open year-round, The Totem Post offers authentic Native American jewelry, crafts, moccasins, knives, ethnic gifts, silver, and copper jewelry. The Totem Post folks are without fail friendly and I'm pleased to report that the shop itself is surprisingly wheelchair friendly (not always true in Nashville). A lot of the items at The Totem Post have a sense of spirituality to them and the times I've visited it has felt like a bit of a respite to even enter the establishment. The store has a bit of a fun origin story. The Jockeys were dancers on the SS. Uruguay who visited family in Indianapolis. During the visit, they were taken to Nashville, Indiana. Not long after, the leathercraft establishment went up for sale - The Jockeys moved forward and bought the place and quickly began establishing themselves among Native American and South American communities so they could carry high quality yet affordable items. While Nashville has certainly grown larger than those five shops from 1952, The Totem Post remains a local favorite and a tourist destination. I seldom, if ever, visit Nashville without a stop here.”

“Absolutely loved this store. I would go every year and get a ring! However they are no longer open and it is a completely different store at this location. So sad to see the sweetest owners close down but I wish them well ?”
