It is the location for the annual Fast Freddy 5-mile fun feast on Thanksgiving morning, with sign-up available at Fredrun Ltd. The fairgrounds also serve as a voting site during elections, offering early voting from 8 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday. Visitors appreciate the friendly and helpful staff but note that parking lot markings and safety, especially near Green Valley Road, could be improved. Some parking issues arise when the lot is full, making it difficult to park and exit without concern for doors hitting. The site features rides like Bradys Amusements, where rides such as the dragon wagon can be rough, though tickets are often refunded if needed.
