Starke County Humane Society

Hours: The Starke County Humane Society is a small shelter with huge hearts. The facility is noted for being clean and organized, with the animals receiving the best care. The staff are described as wonderful, kind, patient, courteous, and very helpful. They provide a very good and reasonably priced spay and neutering service, making vaccinations and procedures affordable. The shelter supports itself in part by selling merchandise. They work to find homes for animals, including those found roaming or in danger, and have facilitated many adoptions. While they encourage doing research before adopting, the experience is often positive enough that adopters state they would definitely return.
