“Elnora Oil Company gas station.I was down to 10 miles remaining in the middle of a small town. The first gas station Maps indicated had been out of business for a long while. Met Roger at the next gas station Friday evening. I noticed he was walking slow and probably had a long day. After handing him my debit card, giving him a couple of minutes, I exited my 300 so he wouldn't have to walk back outside. By the time I entered his station, he was fuming ?. Told me I needed to give him $40 cash now. My card was declined, and the machine indicated account closed. It caught me off guard because I knew my account was open and in great standing. Here is the thing.... ?My debit card was hacked so I had it shut off and another card issued. Forgot to cut up old card and I gave it to Roger by accident. Needless to say Roger wasn't happy with me one bit.I paid him with cash and showed him several more cards, which eased his attitude towards me. I told him I needed to prove to him that I wasn't a deadbeat. He popped up said, I never said that. Everyone giggled in his shop as I gave my rebuttal. You didn't need to say it....I read your face and eyes. They said...... Deadbeat ?After all said and done, we all had a big giggle. I mean, my cousin heard us laughing outside in my car.Thank you Roger for the gas and laugh.”
“Great place to fill up on gas and grab your favorite grub. Easy to find on hwy 50 and easy to get in and out of quickly. The staff here are friendly. If you would like to have conversation there is normally a table of locals willing to engage. Prices are reasonable and is just about nine miles east of interstate 69.”

“Like stopping here on my way outta town, for fuel, and some snacks. This trip, most of the pumps were bagged, and one of the pumps would not take a card payment. Hopefully, this problem is rectified, as we do love this little place.”
