After an initial estimate to fix all the internal door problems Bob called us with the location of a replacement door that took our repair cost WAY down. “I cannot say enough about the staff at this Auto Zone in Portage IN. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. Myself and two friends were in Portage on August 13 on our way to Michigan and were trying to fill our car with gas because it was almost on empty. Due to a tornado that had gone through town three days earlier, there was no electricity anywhere so the gas pumps weren’t working. We were desperate. To our great luck, there was an Auto Zone down the street and we headed there to see where we might find gas, if any. To our amazement and delight the staff could not have been nicer and they gave us enough gas (that they were using for their generator) to drive to the only station that had electricity and was selling gas, about a couple of miles away.
I will always continue to shop at Auto Zone and will recommend it to everyone I know. The guys who worked there were absolutely amazing and saved us from many hours of anguish in finding gas. They reinforced our belief that Americans are people who stick together and help out in a crisis.
I will always love Portage for this kindness and the good Samaritans at Auto Zone! Thanks guys, you’re great!!”

“Great job replacing parts from a roundabout accident. Friendly crew, explained everything needed to be done. Picked up and dropped off rental there, very convenient. Only bad thing was paying for a headlight assembly for opposite side so they would match, but that was my choice, not their fault. It was cheaper than ordering one online.
