“I just had my truck towed to Rule Auto Care after my coolant temperature skyrocketed. It’s the Friday before the county fair, and they were very friendly and understanding when I showed up. They’re full of other customers but they will fit me in for a diagnostic test when they can. That’s very kind, considering the circumstances, and I actually expect a fairly costly repair. We shall see how this story unfolds, but for now I’m certainly very pleased and feel that my vehicle is in the right shop. Turns out it was just a faulty thermostat. Fixed and back on my way quickly. (August 17 now—I needed some more repairs completed: I had received a call with my total and a friendly text when it was ready to pick up. I was out of town so it took me until Monday. No big deal at all. I showed up with a local bank’s check for the total and they wished me well and thanked me very much for the business. All the repairs completed were done by the owner himself, as referenced on my itemized bill. I received a hefty discount for a spark plug replacement while already having some engine work done, and every other repair was detailed and specified “New.” I drove my truck out of there with absolutely no hesitation and it purred nicely. New cam phasers, new tensioners, new timing chains, all new gaskets, plugs, trans filter/fluid, water pump, oil change, and more. It was less than other places would’ve charged, and they’d be unfamiliar to me. This guy’s been running auto shops for decades right here in Rensselaer. Was it a hefty set of repairs? Well yeah🤓 Was it done swiftly, cleanly and professionally? Of course🤠 Will I take my truck back to his shop? Very likely. I actually rarely encounter issues with my vehicles, but when I do, Rule Auto Care gets the nod, folks. It’s just good business.”
