“Exceptional service and incredibly friendly staff! I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. After checking out, I accidentally left my travel adapter in the room. One of the staff members noticed it immediately and literally ran all the way out to the parking lot to bring it to my car before I drove off! This level of helpfulness and honesty is rare and deserves a huge compliment. The team here is incredibly friendly and attentive. Highly recommended!”
“just left my third stay at this hotel. it’s simply the best. yes - the rooms are small! this is not somewhere you’d want to stay for extended time but for a long weekend it’s perfect. the staff is incredibly nice. the bar in the lobby is a VIBE. everything is walkable. the food available at the hotel is fast, fresh and affordable. I live in indy and a lot of concerts and comedians who skip us ending up in LOU and so thankful to have found this incredible hotel to stay at when that happens. for parking i recommend the wharf parking garage on witherspoon. it’s less than a 2 block walk and $25 a night.”

“We stayed here last week and were greeted by Arthur, valet, who bent over backwards and then checked in with Anya who was awesome. The room was very nice and clean. The art museum is a definite plus, really interesting pieces.”

“If you’re even thinking about staying at The Grady—just do it. This place is an absolute gem.
From the moment we pulled up, the experience stood out. Our valet, Chance, was incredible. He didn’t just park the car—he knew the history of the hotel like the back of his hand and genuinely made us feel welcomed. The hotel itself has such a unique story, and you can tell they’ve leaned into that boutique, historic vibe in all the right ways.
What really blew me away was how far they went to take care of us. There was a show going on nearby and the hotel restaurant, Wild Swann, was completely packed. Somehow, Chance still managed to secure us reservations—which felt like a miracle given how busy it was.
Speaking of Wild Swann… phenomenal. I had the bone marrow burger and it was one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time. My wife had the mushroom rigatoni and loved it. But the real standout was how they treated our kids. We weren’t sure if they’d be willing to modify anything for them, but they went above and beyond and made simple wagyu sliders (just burger and cheese), and our kids devoured them. That kind of flexibility and care goes a long way.
The overall vibe of the hotel is immaculate—perfect for anyone who loves history and boutique-style stays. It feels intentional, cozy, and genuinely unique.
And honestly, one of the funniest and most memorable moments—we accidentally photobombed a couple taking engagement photos outside by looking out our window… while wearing the Muhammad Ali robes provided in the room. That pretty much sums up the kind of unforgettable experience you’ll have here.
This isn’t just a hotel—it’s an experience. We’ll absolutely be back.”

“On-site parking was very minimal but worth it if you manage to snag a spot. If so do not move your car because you will probably not get another one. Tv broke and took forever for it to reset after maintenance replaced it. No breakfast available in the hotel but available for purchase onsite”

“The check-in experience was quick and easy. The location was easy to find and had ample parking.
The room was nice. The beds were really comfortable and the shower had excellent water pressure. The coffee in the room was decent, but the lobby coffee was better.
The hotel was easy to find. There are no restaurants within walking distance, but several you can drive to. We used Doordash.
The breakfast was pretty good and had a few hot options, oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, cereal and plenty of breads and pastries. The muffins and scones were delicious! The employee working the breakfast area was knowledgeable and very kind.
We would stay there again when driving through.”

“I can't believe we're allowed to bring our pets and we have a variety! There was something for everyone in the family here . A fire pit NEXT to a pool and hot tub, the gym actually had a water cooler .The hot tub was so warm after our drive it's just what we needed.The low lighting and ambience of the rooms made it easy for us to sleep in and thanks to Harvey for waffles and Autumn,everyone in housekeeping was very attentive to our particular needs! The kitchens make it really feel more like home.We took the walk over the bridge and saw the most amazing view of the Louisville skyline .We will be back for Abby road and the derby.”
“Great non smoking hotel. Beds super cozy and pillows were wonderful. Didn't eat breakfast buffet, but it's here for those who do. Room was clean, fully stocked with mini fridge and mini microwave. AC was nice and cold. Ground floor room, was awesome due to children sports activities going on it area. There were a lot of kids. But couldn't hear them at all during the night or on morning. Has elevator, fitness center and pool. Overall wonderful stay.”

“We had to find a hotel for some sleep at like 3am after traveling for hours. Every other hotel I called went straight to a call center and it was very time consuming to even find out if the hotel had availability. But when I called this hotel the front desk answered and very quickly told me they had a room. Check in was easy. The room left much to be desired but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The a/c worked great. We had no problems.”
“Rooms are VERY nice and breakfast too. Close to everything for walking. Truck parking available and good customer service. They do make you sign a document threatening like $500 in damages it was bizarre, but they say they haven’t charged it 🤷♂.”
