After a really upsetting experience with our previous groomer (who refused to groom my dog even though she had been going there for years), I was honestly worried I wouldn’t be able to find someone willing to work with my elderly, diabetic dog.
Then I found Paige — and I’m so grateful I did. Sadie immediately liked her and didn’t give her any trouble going into the back, which never happens. You can tell right away that Paige truly loves dogs and treats them with patience and care.
Sadie looks absolutely fantastic, and we will definitely be back. Sadie approved — and so do I!

Sudzy Puppy Grooming Salon
3326 Portage Ave, South BendI drive a half hour (one way) every few weeks to get my dogs' nails trimmed by Jolene, and have been doing so for years. I literally pass other grooming salons to go to Sudzy Puppy, because they are that good.
Our dogs aren't great and can get a little anxious/aggressive getting their nails trimmed. Jolene handles them so well and makes it as good of an experience as it can be with them.
I can't recommend Sudzy Puppy enough!

Gilmer Park Animal Clinic
6751 IN-931, South BendI had been asked to take care of a pet rat during the Christmas break and unfortunately things took a turn for the worse and I didn't know what to do. I called Gilmer Park Animal clinic because I was told that they dealt with small animals and to my surprise they were available to see me the same day. I am a huge animal lover and even though this pet rat was not mine I was very very attached to him and I was extremely upset when I called and even more so when I came into the clinic. Every single person in that building treated me with respect and compassion and they treated this situation as if they had known me for years. I honestly was overwhelmed with how compassionate everyone was there. All three receptionist, the doctor, the assistant, every single person made me feel that my emotions were justified and that we never know how much an animal can affect us until they're gone. They always say that first impressions mean the most and I have to say this is 100% the case with this clinic. My first impression started the second they answered the phone and my impression only grew more positive by the time I walked out of the door. I would like to also mention that the doctor was so sincere in the things she was saying and HOW she was saying them... She really listened to me as I shared my sadness in the exam room and basically told me she was here to answer any of my questions or concerns and to take my time.. even the way she took special care and slowly wrapping him up gently in such a loving and caring way that made him look as if he was simply sleeping... I mean it takes a real special kind of person to show so much care and compassion in moments like these. I never once felt rushed as though I could have asked her 10 more questions if I had them. She was truly amazing and I will never forget her. I just want to thank all of you for what you did and what you said to me today and for taking the time to answer my questions and letting me not feel rushed or embarrassed for my strong feelings I had for that lil guy. The time and care you took with me will never ever be forgotten. Thank you so much and I'm so glad to know that you are literally right around the corner....I will definitely see you again.

My experience was the total opposite.
My daughter and I had to make the very difficult decision to have our elderly dog put down, after he experienced several episodes of falling over on his side and could no longer walk. We called PPH and they got us in that day. We were taken to a room, where a vet tech and doctor examined Kobe. A mutual decision was made that Kobe's quality of life was over. We were allowed to hold our sweet dog as he received the meds. And when it was clear that he had gone to the Rainbow Bridge, we were allowed to stay with him and say goodbye. The staff was so compassionate. I can't think of anything they could have done better.

Most importantly, Hammer and Quill accomplishes what every bar should aspire to: everyone feels welcome and taken care of. Don't visit South Bend without a stop here.

The ladies at the front desk were so nice and quick, making checking in and out very easy, and answering all our annoying questions about the area. The bartender was amazing and delightful, as was the gentleman at the starbucks. Overall, this has to be one of the best hotels in the area. A big thank you to you all for making our stay so pleasant.

delicious , beer was cold and perfect! Pro tip, if you get ice water, ask for an extra cup of ice! The water is RO (reverse osmosis), same water the you in their brewing process. The ice is not, to me it made the taste so much better. (I dink LOTS of water). Again, Tara was amazing. The wife and I will visit here again when in town!

52820 State Hwy 933, South BendWe discovered Juicy Buffet on Too Good To Go app. We are traveling and staying here in Mishawaka for a few days. This has got to be one of the best Asian food buffets we've ever been to. If you check the photo with this review, we received FOUR containers of food that they picked out from the buffet while we waited AND a quart container of the most interesting and flavorsome chicken soup I've ever had. I tasted spices in the rice that I haven't had since traveling to Singapore for work (last trip was 2010). Everything was hot enough to eat when we got back to our room and we had plenty of leftovers for the rest of our stay. The cream cheese rangoon was a little greasy but still edible. Everything else was great? If you live here and haven't gone yet, you need to go!

521 Eclipse Pl, South BendI cannot thank The South Bend Animal Resource Center enough <3 Someone had let my 16 year old Bobby girl out of our gate and she was lost. We live in a rough neighborhood, where there are dog fights going on just down the road, Bobby takes Gabapentin, she just turned 16, my 70th Birthday was the next day and my husband has cancer. I spoke with Officer Holland and he was so kind, and knowledgeable. He kept me calm and even checked though out the night looking for my dog to show up . Then he also called the next day to check on the situation. Thank God I got my Bobby girl back. I am so grateful for all the resource's that Officer Holland gave me to help find her ..Bobby girls 16 year old sister, Lily, a Jack Russell was so happy to be reunited with her. I have sent you a donation, and will try to do that often. Thank you for loving the animals and for your love and kindness. We have always registered our dogs in the City Of South Bend, yearly with you and will be more than happy to do this when the time comes up.
