“I have been with Tender Care for over 20 years and three dogs. The staff has changed quite a bit recently but Dr Harris and Cody have consistently been the ones that I work with and see. There have been some very difficult times when I wasn't sure the best course of action and they would refer me to other places if they felt there was more of an expertise needed that they didn't offer (rehab). The pricing is consistent with what you will find anywhere but the online store for getting all of the pet medications and flee and heart guard has sales.”

“I had been asked to take care of a pet rat during the Christmas break and unfortunately things took a turn for the worse and I didn't know what to do. I called Gilmer Park Animal clinic because I was told that they dealt with small animals and to my surprise they were available to see me the same day. I am a huge animal lover and even though this pet rat was not mine I was very very attached to him and I was extremely upset when I called and even more so when I came into the clinic. Every single person in that building treated me with respect and compassion and they treated this situation as if they had known me for years. I honestly was overwhelmed with how compassionate everyone was there. All three receptionist, the doctor, the assistant, every single person made me feel that my emotions were justified and that we never know how much an animal can affect us until they're gone. They always say that first impressions mean the most and I have to say this is 100% the case with this clinic. My first impression started the second they answered the phone and my impression only grew more positive by the time I walked out of the door. I would like to also mention that the doctor was so sincere in the things she was saying and HOW she was saying them... She really listened to me as I shared my sadness in the exam room and basically told me she was here to answer any of my questions or concerns and to take my time.. even the way she took special care and slowly wrapping him up gently in such a loving and caring way that made him look as if he was simply sleeping... I mean it takes a real special kind of person to show so much care and compassion in moments like these. I never once felt rushed as though I could have asked her 10 more questions if I had them. She was truly amazing and I will never forget her. I just want to thank all of you for what you did and what you said to me today and for taking the time to answer my questions and letting me not feel rushed or embarrassed for my strong feelings I had for that lil guy. The time and care you took with me will never ever be forgotten. Thank you so much and I'm so glad to know that you are literally right around the corner....I will definitely see you again.”

“Dr. Chris Payton and Pam Mahlie are the best! They came to my home to euthanize my dog, which was so kind - something other vets in the area appear not to be willing to do. They have gone out of their way to help with other pets in so many ways - once Pam delivered medication to my house along with a doggie diaper for my dog who was near his end and could not walk very well so that I wouldn't have to come in to get it. Those two are angels.”
