“Stopped in the "furniture" side while trying to find 5he "antique" side. I was impressed and mad that I didn't know about this place when I was looking for new furniture. I will recommend and keep it in mind in the future”
“I've been a few times, and like all thrift stores, some visits have been better (for me) than others. It's a great size - big enough to have a large selection, but it's not overwhelming. Merchandise is clean, well organized, and reasonably priced. The staff is very friendly. Highly recommend.”
“i had the most incredible experience at Newman ~ first not only did i save over $150 but i found exactly what i was looking for. Zachary’s service to others and hospitality is truly remarkable and will go down in history. ps the earth is flat and no one ever landed on the moon ~ Stanley Kubrick was a remarkable director …
however if you want a very rare NASA apollo 13 hat its only $11 ~ but its worth about $75”
“They had lots of Christmas stuff and the store was busy with happy shoppers. We found a couple of flower pots for our new baby Christmas Cactus ? They're going to look great together!”
“Great place to find kids clothes and toys at a lower cost. The staff is so nice and have helped me many times- both with finding things and selling things. I'm so grateful to be close to a location.”
“Was great for what i was looking for, Been all over Indianapolis looking for Electric train connectors and didn't have to run along, Gizmos had exactly what I needed.”
“Really clean store, their men's selection was small but they stuff they had was really cool. I talked to one of the employees and he said they were always looking for more men's clothing. The staff was very friendly and I would recommend checking it out!”
“I found what will be my wedding dress here for $95 in beautiful condition! A wonderful shop with a nice variety of things, benefitting a great cause. Always worth a stop whenever I'm in town!”
“This goodwill was so clean and organized, I wasn't scared to pick up certain items. I know this is a ritzyer part of town compared to where I live and the Goodwill's that are in my area, but they didn't have opened used hygiene products (which they are not supposed to sell) none of their kitchen appliances had mold or food or mystery stuff in them they were all clean. And I found some great items. I find good stuff around my typical ones too but they have items that are in my opinion a serious health concern to even have in the store and they tend to be so packed full of bs items that you know no one is going to buy and that should have never been put out for sale let alone not put straight into the trash.”
“I was just wondering, enjoying a wonderful day and decided to stop at one of my favorite bargain stores. I found a couple of great deals. Staff were busy and friendly. And, I look forward to returning soon. ??”
“I stopped by Goodwill Store one afternoon just to browse, not really expecting much. After digging through a few racks, I actually found a couple cool items for cheap. That’s kind of the fun of it—you never know what you’ll come across. It’s simple, a little messy, but perfect if you enjoy the thrill of thrift hunting.”
“Scott thank you for being a kind human being. You are an asset to the Salvation Army, you smile and greet people and I even heard you say Hola to a Hispanic family to make her feel welcome. You deserve to be advanced to management because your other colleague lacks people skills- well I should say he discriminates as to who he will use his people skills with. He never greets me when I walk in the store, but then someone else will walk in and he acts as though he is the epitome of kindness. Scott is the only reason why I give 5 stars. As for the dude who seems like he is always PMSing when I come to that store I will find out who is above him and report him. Never assume because a person comes to Salvation and shop that they have to because I don't.”

“I got a lounger, patron table with 6 chairs, 4 dining room chairs and a living room chair for $455. The patio furniture alone would have cost that much! Rented a U-Haul which was conveniently located a few blocks away from habitat for humanity. Guys loaded up the cargo van with all of my items and I was on my way! Couldn’t be more pleased with the items I bought.”
“Whitestown location.Nice product, great staff.My question is, why do prices keep going up?They have taken all incentive discounts away and replaced them with "coupons" that are no value like what there was prior.At some point people will stop coming as prices for used products are becoming unreasonable.”
“I have been to this Goodwill store more than a dozen times. Pros: tons and tons of great 2nd hand products to choose from. I've never seen a Goodwill with as many shoes as this one has. Cons: there isn't a fitting room! If you are looking for 2nd hand furniture, this may not be your best bet. Only have a small selection. I have bought many very nice items from thus Goodwill, many things still brand new! Store is always clean, and employees are super friendly”
“Everyone in their mother's uncle's nephew's great grand-niece was there on a Sunday evening 'round 5pm. The place is huge. A lot of bins with clothes (mostly) but also some furniture and misc garage stuff. There were basically no dishes or kitchenware items. They charge $1.79/lb for stuff, unless an item is over 15 lbs then it might be priced differently.
I couldn't find very good quality clothes, but that may vary day-to-day. People in there move + dig FAST like they're racing to grab the good stuff... honestly just take your time and hope you find something good. I'd prefer to just go to a regular Goodwill.”
“I really haven't stopped into a goodwill since they took the tag cookie sales away, but decided to see what they had. I walked around for a min and even though I was shocked by the prices, I wasn't. I've read many reviews and watched YouTube videos on how Goodwill prices have escalated, and they truly have. This store wasn't busy and I ran into the usual overcrowding shelves, but with the prices they have on the merchandise........I can see why they was full and overcrowded! I was looking for a basic muffin pan and found one and surprisingly for it being almost brand new, it was only $2.99! And that is my kind of price! I don't know to be mad at goodwill for their prices, but they could at least bring back the sale tag for the week to give a customer a reason to go in their doors.”
“These 2 cashier girls, both with red hair, were very sweet and kind, after I forgot my receipt, I went back home to get it, and as soon as I came back, they instantly remembered me, one of their names is Lizzy, I hope they stay for a while”
“Another Goodwill headquarters over here on the West Mission Street do a great job with helping this able people to get back to work back into the workforce get their social life together and other services that they provide that you might find interesting if you want to apply for a job with the Goodwill of Central Indiana trust me if anything that you can do to help them do it donate clothes cars appliances or something like that then you can get all in good working condition that they can make a profit off of the help benefit of the individuals with disabilities.”
“I had a pretty good experience at this Goodwill overall. They had a great selection of clothing, which is always a big plus when you’re browsing for deals or unique finds. I also noticed a large variety of kids’ books, which is awesome for families, along with a smaller section for movies and music.
One thing I really like about this location is that they almost always have some kind of cabinetry or furniture available in the back. It’s nice to be able to check for those bigger items since you never know what you might find.
The prices seem to reflect how costs have been going up lately, but they’re still reasonable for what you’re getting. Overall, a solid spot to thrift and worth checking out.”
“I love this store and the individuals in it. Very sweet and they do their best. They do have some inconsistencies and they don't have the retail expertise associated with high-end department stores. Come into this store with a smile (it puts the employees at ease and they can perform to a higher degree which is successful foryou and them), be patient (this is aplace you MIGHT find just want you want but most likely to find what you didnt know you wanted or needed), and be grateful for what you have. This line of Goodwill stores have been established and are founded in helping lift up others not by giving out but by helping stay up with opportunities to work, learn and succeed in life. Goodwill Industries caters to high risk populations who just need alittle assistance and an environment that reassures them when they try their best. They accept donations because it gives individuals a regular job to learn social interactions with customers, retail experience and mathematics in action. It also offers higher education opportunities offered at free or reduced rates to this same demographic loving people who want to succeed in life just like you are. So be excited that you found more than the same item and be grateful that one is cheaper than another....not upset that some are higher priced. If you can buy it, buy it. If you can't, don't. But leave the store a little brighter and happier than when you walked in. These people are GOOD PEOPLE. They aren't perfect, but so am I, you and every person waling the earth today. Be kind, be patient, be positive. It's the key to happiness.”
“This Goodwill had better quality merchandise than the ones closer to downtown (and those more easily reached by bus.) I suspect this is because it's harder for the neediest people to get to this Goodwill outlet.”
“Some of the things here:
* Medical clinic, meant to help those living at these ministries, but also for the entire nearby community.
* Thrift shop, a bit cramped but jammed with goods for sale; there are now also one or two other nearby buildings with furniture and appliances
* Shelter for men
* Shelter for families
* Boys home
* Youth center, which has things like a playground and video games, as well as learning spaces and activities
* Metal shop, which offers training
* A woodworking shop
There are also usually giveaway items near the thrift store, generally food items like bread.”
“great selections, friendly staff, but the other customer were rude and left messes behind themselves instead of picking up items they dropped they were just leaving them or kicking them under the racks, but the staff does a wonderful job keeping the store near and organized”
