Canyon Inn is a place that offers a simple and quiet escape, surrounded by beautiful grounds and trails. The inn features small, dated rooms that could use some remodeling, and cleanliness is an area for improvement, with some guests feeling the rooms were not as clean as expected and noting a musty smell in some areas. Despite this, the staff is consistently praised for being friendly, welcoming, and courteous, making visitors feel safe and well taken care of. The inn's location provides plenty of nearby activities, such as hiking and outdoor adventures, which many guests enjoy. Dining at the on-site restaurant has received mixed reviews. While the atmosphere is nice, some found the food disappointing; the buffet was not well cooked, with undercooked fried chicken and overcooked beef stew, and hot vegetables mostly come from cans. The salad bar was clean and had some fresh items, but some components like shredded carrots and iceberg lettuce were less appealing. The apple pie was notably disappointing, with canned apples and no added flavor. Service in the restaurant can be slow, and some guests chose to leave without completing their meals. Overall, Canyon Inn is a decent place for those looking to relax and connect with nature, especially if they are prepared for the older, less modern accommodations and variable dining experiences. It is suitable for a quick stay or outdoor activities, but improvements in cleanliness and amenities could enhance the overall guest experience.
Room was decent, buffet was good. If you want to escape from life-- this is the place. Cell reception isn't strong, t.v didn't really work, but connect with nature on a hike, or a run- it was great.

Needed an update. Mold in the showers, no vent. Lovely old building, amenities were awesome.
