The staff was helpful with local eating ideas. The shop cat was a huge hit with my wife and sealed the deal for J's being our LBS whenever we are back in town to hit trails.”

“My first experience was for a repair of an old Schwinn bicycle my wife had gotten from her mother who no longer used it. It had a broken part that held a gear cable in place of this 3-speed bike. Jim, the proprietor, looked at it and asked if I could give him a few weeks. I was in no hurry, as Id thought of just leaving it at the curb with a "FREE" sign to see if anyone wanted to take it.There was no way to actually order that particular little part anymore - it was just sort of a pin-like object, but in his resourcefulness, Jim, offering no guarantees, fashioned a similar object with a piece of metal, and fixed the cable connection. He also cleaned the bike and replaced the rotted tires with new ones, and now the nearly 50-year old bike rides like new.So, I purchased bike of my own from Crossroads Cyclery. I use it as a main form of exercise and for simple leisure since I had a hip replaced.Great service, fair prices, expert customer care!”
