“Great place to save some money on your groceries. Love the farm boy products. Great selections on various items. Selections including hygiene products, pet supplies, and kitchen essentials as well. Great prices and daily specials. The people running the store are so fantastic.”
“I have been going here my entire life and it looks and feels the same now as it did when I was a kid minus the little restaurant with its seating area not being in use. I used to walk there at like 5 am with my grandpa when I would stay here in the summers and it always had such a small town mayberry like feeling that it still has today. They have a large selection of basically anything you would need but be ready to pay a higher price for it. You cant blame them with stores like walmart taking over smaller businesses but they have held out for many years. They recently launched a savings app like many other stores os that has kind of launched them into the future instead of them strictly seeming like a small country store. When im on that side of town i definitely always stop.”

“The workers here are great and they absolutely treat you like family. They have quickly fixed any issue I have had and are extremely friendly and beyond willing to help. I also appreciate that they get to know you on a more personal level and will ask about family, pets, etc. It makes you feel as if they truly care about you and not just your business. They remember the products you like to buy most often and will order things that you are interested in them keeping in stock for you. Awesome place!”

“Aussies on a mission — we were determined to discover everything Christmas during our 2025 Christmas road trip through the USA. So when we stumbled across the Dollar General in Santa Claus, I knew immediately… this was destiny.
And look, I’m not saying I lost control — but I pretty much came home with everything DOLLY. That was the highlight of our visit here. I swear this store had been waiting for me. It greeted me with a festive HOLLY DOLLY WELCOME, and honestly, I didn’t stand a chance. I was ALL IN.
Aside from my Dolly takeover, the store was well‑stocked with everything you’d expect… and a few things you absolutely wouldn’t. That’s half the fun of a DG stop — you never know what’s going to jump into your basket.”

“It is my go-to stop for gas in Tell City. I like Marathon gas since it is a good quality fuel with the STP additives and being a Top Tier gas. This location always seems to have a good price that is comparable to others around. I also like the Marathon Rewards program where I can earn discounts on gas. And I also like that this station has a car wash. I have not been inside the gas station. So, I can’t say anything about it.”
“I had a large grocery delivery set for last evening. The delivery service, not Walmart, failed to deliver my order and what's worse the driver lied and said I was not home when in fact he made no effort to deliver the groceries for me and two other customers. Walmart staff made multiple attempts on Monday evening and again this morning to resolve the issue. When nothing else worked, store manager Stephen delivered my groceries himself. Kudos to Stephen and the Walmart associates in the pickup delivery department for helping me. They all were patient and took the time to look up my order and figure out what went wrong so that we could fix it. I'm 81 years young and I appreciated their help.”

“Awesome grocery store. We forgot more than we would like to admit on our trip but got everything we needed here. Including a sweatshirt my wife loves. Staff could not have been nicer. It feels like a throwback to a small town grocery.”
