I have been a member of First Trust Credit Union for over 20 years and have never experienced poor service. They have been very helpful with issues like loans and other business transactions and I fully appreciate their aid. The employees of First Trust are quite friendly and very helpful in taking care of my banking transactions.

I have never heard of not being able to make a deposit using the atm. Completely ridiculous. Deposits thru the atm are not allowed.

I was with this credit union for a long time and It was the fees and slow services that I had to switch. I use my Amex Prepaid Card and Chime bank and I have saved a ton of cash.

I've been a loyal member of this credit union and its predecessors for almost 50 years. I've had loans of many types, CDs, money market, checking, etc. and never, NEVER had any major problems. Also banking with commercial banks and mortgage companies, the primary difference I note is people (including management) who really do care populate the customer service windows. Second, the fees are remarkably fair and usually lower than commercial ones - often they are non-existent. Everyone makes mistakes, but I have been fortunate not to run into one when I deal with the credit union - in my case, it is usually the Valpo branch. I find the interest paid on deposits is competitive if not truly superior to the commercial banks. Remember, a credit union is owned by its membership. It has the mandate of serving its member-owners in the best possible manner, paying the highest responsible return on their invested money, charging the lowest reasonable fees for its services, while being prudent in all its banking practices. Ultimately, it must assure it is transparent, sustainable and able to keep its promises to members over the very long-run. Over the years I have found First Trust to be just that.

I would give zero stars if it were an option. Customer service is terrible. Every time I turnaround you're making another mistake on my account. I had a deposit that was made on the 15th and it's the 20th and it still does not show on my account. They say they're working on it. Then they said it was because it was the weekend well it was a Friday not a weekend. It's always something and it's so frustrating Every time I deal with them.

Went in to pay my truck payment. Everything went fine. Fast forward 2 weeks I get a delinquency charge of 20$ because the lady behind the counter under charged my payment by 28 cents which is hilarious seeing how I paid $192 payment with 200$ and got change back. So I now am being charged 20$ because there error of 28cents. What a joke.

Terrible customer service. Nice people but very unsure of whatever questions I ask. I've had to drive out of my way several times to do simple things that I shouldn't have had to do. Pulling my accounts as soon as I can.
