The manager did a great job working with me, and was very flexible with some last minute changes I needed to make with a storage unit reservation. The storage unit setup they have seems good too!

I haven't even actually had a chance to get the trailer yet, but we need a hitch installed before a move in mid-August. This isn't a last minute request, but I'm being told that it won't be possible for more than another two months due to staffing issues and an inability to get supplies in on time.Planning this six weeks out is not last minute. I believe U-Haul should be able to offer people an alternative plan or help them to find a different provider. At the very least, offer some kind of discount.This is a massive inconvenience during a stressful time of a move. Definitely dissapointing.

On June 1I tried to make a reservation to have a hitch installed on my brand new vehicle. The website said I had to call the location because there were no reservations available until 2024. So I called and got a pleasant woman that said that there was an issue with the online calendar but that they had an opening at 8am on June 16. So I booked the reservation. Fast forward to June 15. I get a call from the location telling me that they had an appointment that was going to take longer before me ... They open at 8, who was before me? ... and not to come in until 10:30. I drive over an hour to get here and now I am told the car should be ready around 2pm. What the heck! How do I go from the first appointment of the morning to the end of the day? The problem is that I am stuck here since I need the hitch for this weekend and there is no other place to go. As an added bonus, the condescending manager asks if I have ever had a vehicle worked on and that one rusty bolt could show or so the whole install. I'm 62 years old. I've worked on and had more cars worked on than you think. Plus, this one is only a few months old. Maybe he needs to get his head out of his rump and get some work done so he can honor appointments as they were scheduled.

Rent a truck for local moving here. I pick up and returned the truck without any issue. Staffs are friendly and willing to answer my questions. Definitely will use them again.

Scheduled a trailer hitch install weeks in advanced at the west Lafayette location. I showed up and they didn’t even know I was supposed to be there. They told me the parts were not available. My frustration is that they couldn’t even call to notify me the parts were not available. I then continued to call customer service and they suggested I just go “elsewhere.” I then stated I would like to file and complaint then with them and I will plan to go elsewhere and she told me nothing else other than to have a nice day. So I assume the complaint wasn’t filed and if customer service tells me to go somewhere else even they know they suck.

Would give this location less than 1 start if possible.Set up a reservation over 2 months ahead and the less than 24 hours before we were due to pick it up we received a call that said they don't have the equipment and we would need to travel an hour to a different location to get it. Long story short... The new location pickup time did not work for us and the three different people we spoke to at the West Lafayette (1 was a manager) location acted as if they didn't care/ it wasn't their problem and 1 was downright rude. Their excuse is that it is busy and lots of people are moving (which is what we were doing and why we made the reservation so far out).Asked for the district manager to reach out to us and we never heard from them (been almost 2 weeks now).We had to take it upon ourselves to reach out to another location (also an hour away in Noblesville) and they were fantastic!DON'T USE THIS LOCATION! THEY DIDN'T CARE ABOUT US SO I BELIEVE IT WOULD BE THE SAME FOR YOU!

DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION! if you have an issue then you will have the absolute worst customer experience ever!

Ordered a truck 2 weeks prior to move. Got call day before move and they no longer had the truck available at my time an would not look for a truck in the cities nearby. This isn't the first time this has happened to me with Uhaul. Wish I could give 0 stars!

Switch and bait!!!! I had a reservation for a specific unit. I had a reservation number for the specific size unit. When I went the day before to make sure everything was in order, I was told the unit was no longer available and was offered a larger unit that COST MORE. Switch and bait!!!!! Beware!!!!!
