“I can say my experience was exceptional and staff was knowledgeable about the plants they sold. A lot of large home improvement chains have a great selection also but no one usually knows anything about anything. J&R’s selection was in good condition and fair prices. They may not be the lowest prices but I believe in paying for quality and good service to help sustain its availability in the future. I recommend this business!!!”

“I have been coming to various Pete's Fresh locations for years. It's locally owned and operated. A large percentage of the prices are somewhat high. The produce quality is excellent, as are the deli items and meat departments. The self-serve hot and cold buffets are CLEAN, well above average, with a good variety of fresh recipes (Latino and American cuisines), and competitively priced. Their website couponing is, like with many supermarkets, poorly designed, cumbersome to use, and frankly, stupid and pointless. Don't give me excuses like that 'it provides customer shopping/market feedback and target marketing'! Simply lower the prices or make the couponing less complicated to use and more user-friendly with the reduced maintenance costs! If management wants that market feedback, just analyze computer data recorded by the cash register/checkout system! Hello? I have, by and large, found the employees to be polite and helpful. Lastly, and to reiterate, I like the fact that the chain is locally owned and operated.”
“I absolutely love this store. Prices are affordable, and it’s always clean and well organized. One thing I wish they had is a dispensary section for rice, beans, grains, nuts, and even water but overall, it’s a great place to shop.”

“After a massive fire they're still striving to save the business. Serves the needs of its customers though some complain of some dry goods shortages. Will shop there nonetheless. Great produce. Was not short of reasonably priced eggs back when everyone had shortages or high prices. Discounts if paying in cash.”

“Aldi is the best. I do about eighty percent of my shopping here. The best value by far, kicks the pants off of Walmart for value. I average about sixty five dollars a week here for a family of three. They don't always have the best produce but it's generally good. Really good value on dark chocolate, lunch meat, cheese, yogurt, and most staple items. They don't have all the brand names but we've found plenty of things that are just as good if not better. It's always quick to check out. Bring a quarter if you need a cart, and bring your own bags if you have them because they charge for them.”
“Aldi is my favorite go to for certain sides and home goods now plus they’ve got more goodies to offer. “Prices are very reasonable. The only problem? They always have "Vendors". Selling items out of the trunks of their Cars or in back of their Vans. These Vendors are taking up parking spaces ? They set up Tents to sell their items in the summer. Their customers "Hold up Traffic". It is hard to find a parking space (Especially) For the "Family Dollar" customers. (My question is?) Why don't these Vendors move their items to the back of the parking lot? Their customers would be able to park and shop back there; Without disturbing customers who are not interested in buying the items.”

“Great prices and decent selection of a wide variety of groceries and miscellaneous bargain items with an occasional surprise. The staff are super sweet and so fast at checking out. I'm always amazed at how they keep their cool and don't lose their temper when someone tests their patience. It's a lesson in life over there.”

“Nice little market in Whiting. Easy to find, ample parking lot. Didnt try the hot food but got the tamales from the cooler. Delicious homemade. Got 1 dozen pork, 1 dozen chicken. Awesome, especially when you dont have to wait for the weekend to get them. I LOVE the pork tamales”
