I tried to set my expectations low for how my car would look after parts were replaced, but if anything, it looked better than when I brought it in. Very personable staff, and when I noticed a panel had broken off during repairs, they replaced the part and fixed it for free. Big fan of the way this company does business.”

He also taught me the difference in the item I needed and to make sure I that I picked the correct one by looking my car up in the computer. He went that extra mile that people just don't do anymore and they should. I highly recommend going to this Auto Zone located in Ames and maybe you will get the same service and kindness as I did from John.”

“Were visiting Ames from southwest Missouri, and needed assistance for loss of oil due to our local dealership's failure to replace cap on reservoir during routine maintenance. Jenny found the appropriate cap. Nick came outside to examine the situation, and added the correct oil. He also checked the level multiple times to be certain we had enough. He was very helpful and reassuring. Just what we needed with car trouble 7 hours from home.”

“I recently had a transmission output shaft seal failure while travelling in the Ames area. I was stuck with no vehicle and no choice but to have a repair done. I had the van towed to George White and although they were clearly booked full for several days out, they worked me in and had the complete repair done in a day. The cost of the repair was very fair, less than I expected.They really bailed me out of my difficulty. The prompt attention eliminated the need to have Ms T drive form St Louis to pick me up or shuttle to DSM to fly home. I know it is fun to bash automotive service facilities when things don't go well, but this experience could not have been better!”
“We purchased our 4th car from Honda of Ames (a 2024 Civic EXL hatchback) this weekend. Everyone we worked with did a fantastic job. Let's name some names so I can give well deserved accolades: Aaron Warren worked hard to get us the best APR available and the paperwork process was incredibly smooth. Jon Ballard was our contact person in the initial process and did very well in explaining his role and how he could help me with my trade. Then Cam Evans was the sales associate we worked with. He's very personable, professional, and most importantly, not pushy. This is the 4th Civic I have owned, going all the way back to 1984 when I purchased a new Civic S hatchback for 6800 bucks. No Civic has ever disappointed me and I am looking forward to many years of trouble free driving. Oh, I almost forgot: I've used the service department for several years and they also have always provided top notch service.”
“Bought 4 new goodyears reliant tires on cyber Monday great price on them +install. I showed up 20 mins before my appointment they got me in on time did the tire change, installed new tmps services pack ,balance tires and relearn the sensors and set tire to recommended psi in the 1 hour time slot. They were steady busy. I was so worried about have them install tires on a 2024 rav 4 awd with all the low reviews, but they did a great job. Thanks Eva and John tire tech for a great job yesterday. Will diffently be looking at tires here again in the future.”
