There is no way to call our local branch. Only option is to call their "call center," interact with a computer, and be put on hold for a long time. This is incredibly bad service!!!

Anissa in the Ames office is simply amazing. If all of your representatives are as awesome as Anissa, your customers are in the best hands. She not only made my problem feel like it was so easy to solve, she also added her own personal touches. She is so kind. She deserves the highest accolades!!! And probably a raise…..??

Pulled my credit without telling me or getting my permission, and then turned me down for a account they use discriminatory practices don’t do business with them.

I haven't banked with them yet, but I know they are the coolest bank I have visited. Instead of bank music, this morning they were playing Metallica's Master of Puppets. Good choice.

I am amazed by how quickly my calls are answered at this location. Today I called and a very friendly staff member named Gaby helped me. She helped me quickly and painlessly. I’ve called this location in the past and have had a great experience every time. Thanks!

Horrible service. Went without a debit card for a week since they shut mine off due to suspected fraud, then failed to get it reactivated. Had to go to the branch to get a new card made and then had to update all my auto-draft accounts with the new card number. Customer service lady said a new card was coming in the mail, but that wasn't true. It was all a confusing mess because their staff simply does not know what they are doing. Will be moving my accounts asap.

I have been coming here with my folks since I was a kid. I have never been treated so good as the employees they have had in the past few years. The one woman who was in charge no longer works there and it's too bad. Both my parents and I thought she was a doll. Sweet and always looked clean cut and cute. Their is one young man who is a teller now and he is cordial and friendly and doesn't seem to bring his problems to work with him. That's a rarity among young people now. They are helpful and compliant and I can rest easy at night knowing my money is here. It's also spotless nicest restrooms in any public place in Ames far as I'm concerned. Would not want to go anywhere else. Thumbs way up.

Horrible branchCard was hacked three times in one summer.Asked if I could change my pin temporarily as I was out of state and needed gas to get home.I was told there was no way they could help.Credit union had no problems helping me years ago.Today I went to cash an insurance check and they told me my wife needs to sign the back also.I understood and drove across town to have her sign it. But when I returned they denied me again because we dont have a joint account (bills come out of my account)The reason they gave me is because its josh "and" my wife even though she endorsed itTHIS WOULD HAVE BEEN GREAT TO KNOW BEFORE I RAN ACROSS TOWN!!!!The manager here is worthless.U.S bank cashed my check no problem.I've been at this bank 12+ years and I will be pulling all of my funds out next week.PEACE OUT.

I would not recommend using them for a home equity line of credit. They do not due what they promise. They sent out illegible checks to the payees. That is very unprofessional.

A friend of mine suggested this credit union because they were offering the best rates for a used vehicle. I went in there to get an auto loan (with an excellent credit score). First impression: like many other credit unions (and banks), their first concern was my social security number without even explaining the rates to me. I insisted that I wanted to know more about the rates I would get eventually before giving them my social security and I'm glad I did that. Turns out you would have to abide by many rules to get the rates they're claiming on their website one of which is to have your income direct deposited in your account at CCCU. If you choose not to (as I didn't) the rate would increase by 0.4% (or something like that). My friend, on the other hand, emailed someone at the corporate level and got the lowest rate without direct deposit!! I wasn't happy...The moral of this story is to ask about the rate before giving them your social security that will end up as a hard inquiry in your credit report. And make sure what they're claiming is what you'll get.

There are occasional glitches, as is true of any place of business, which is all part of the human condition. I have been a member for over 40 years. I am not easy to please, but am pleased with CCCU. I do agree with John D. Nordyke that when I call, I would like a person at MY branch to answer the phone...and in person, no recording.
