I would not go back. They like to give you deals move in only to end up raising your rates within 4 months of being there. Also the building we left was not secure and did not have good climate control ended up with mold on items in the unit.

While the storage units are convenient, they are overly expensive and you don’t get to pick which one you can have and the put you far away when there are units close by. I will not recommend or use their storage space again in the future

The staff was nice so this is not their fault. The cubes are way overpriced. I am going to move my articles after one month because I’m not gonna pay $400 almost $500 a month for two storage areas where I can pay half the cost and get it climate controlled. The bad part about it all is that they give you 40% off as beginning and then they screw you on If you need other units or on the price. The promotion is just for one month apparently and then you go from paying $60 or somewhere in that amount to paying over $200 a month. That’s scamming.

The storage units are very nice and clean. They have a trolly you can use and the elevators are pretty big. It was easy setting up online and I love the company. However, I had called to ask about how I can cancel my unit because I no longer needed and a lady named Suzanne answered. I’m sure she had good intentions but she was very put out that I would ask about this, almost like I should already know. But if I knew I wouldn’t be calling to ask right? She then told me to take my lock and leave my storage until open and that’s how they know I’m done with my unit. Well I did just that and a day later she calls and leaves a voicemail telling me I’m going to be charged since I didn’t take the lock out of my unit. I immediately called her back and told her I have my lock right next to me so I am confused on what she is talking about. She then says “oh okay, i’ll cancel your unit then” and then hangs up the phone. I’m very annoyed about this only because my heart sank when I heard the voicemail and I automatically assumed I was being charged for the wrong unit. I like the company so I’m definitely going to be coming back next year, I will just make sure not to talk to customer service.

DO NOT STORE ANYTHING VALUABLE HERE. The employees steal from the units. I had THOUSANDS of dollars in collectables stolen from my unit. It's been reported to the police but DO NOT STORE ANYTHING VALUABLE HERE.

I was told that I “locked in” my rate when I left the country for a few months. I return to find out that my rent almost doubled while I was gone, and instead of calling or emailing me, I received a letter to my mom’s house saying that my rent was increasing. When I went in to ask about it, they gave me no reason as to why it increased, regardless of being told that the price was locked in. I was also charged for an entire month the day I moved out and when I asked for a refund I was told there was nothing they could do about it on their end. I had the furthest unit possible and somehow I went from paying $55 a month to almost $200. Overall, the customer service was terrible and I was consistently met with no answers and no sympathy towards the situation.

A Scam. I am greatly disappointed and frustrated at the corporate customer service of this company. My boyfriend and I reserved a unit on June 24th under the 4th of July Sale (sign on fee, first month free then 40% off) We were sent an email confirmation stating the total price at time of move in - by July 20th. We deliberately asked if the promo would be held until we needed the unit and were assured that it would as long as we signed the lease prior to July 20th (The end of our reservation timeframe). We went in to sign on July 16th and were told that the promo had expired despite having email confirmation. Not only that but they had increased the prices as well. We went from needing to pay $30 to $250 for one month of access. Along with this it was too short notice to change location as we needed to move into the unit in a few days. It would have been cheaper had we paid for the two months under the promo than one month of what we did pay but once again we were assured signing under the reservation period would allow us the promo price. Despite this, corporate has not honored what we were promised. I have been trying to get a refund for the last 2 weeks and so far we have not been called back, and the only people who tried to assist us were the online agents and the Store Manager. I would like to point out that the agents (Angel and Sabrina) were as helpful as they could be but it was out of their hands, and the current Ames Store manager also did all she could with the mess she was left with. This was a Corporate issue with not honoring not only the email confirmation of the reserved unit but also what was displayed on the website for the promo. I have attached some helpful images.
