Unfortunately, the staff is not as knowledgeable about automotive repair questions as some of the other places. The one positive thing I would say is they had a specific part I needed that two other Auto Parts stores were sold out or did not have in stock. The AutoZone employee was nice

Called the store directly and asked to have a part set aside with my name on the part and drove to pick it up w/in the hour. They told me they sold the last one before I arrived there and when I asked about my part that was set aside, the "gentleman" behind the counter stated it must have been a computer error.
This particular store has been just fine for me in the past but not in 2025 and the only reason I didn't use the Urbandale store, was b/c they didn't have it and recommended this store...so I took them up on it.
Friends have said they have been disappointed with Autozone BUT I have had very good experiences with them for years and am a rewards member, so this actually surprised me. It won't cause me to quit using their products BUT I hope my review will encourage them to train their staff to be much better with their faithful customers...if not, I'll just use RockAuto or some other online store.

Asked about a headlight and was told a certain one. I bought it and it didn't even fit my car. My step dad came all the way to the other side of town to help me so we had to go to Walmart to get the correct one because you guys are closed. You guys should know what you are talking about if you work there I even had my vin number and you wouldn't look it up. I better get a refund.

My husband and I had the worst luck lately. 2 weeks ago my car battery died. We went to Autozone and they said come back the next morning to get a new one because they only have 2 people working (even though I saw more than 2 employees). We went the next morning and happened to have a manager help us. He was amazing and got my battery replaced in no time. He was also really receptive to my comments about being denied service the previous day and said he would talk with the staff. Yesterday, my husband's car battery died so we decided to go to Autozone again. An employee named Joe (I hope I remembered it correctly) was so helpful and would not give up even when the corrosion from the old car battery was making things difficult. His persistent allowed us to get the battery replaced that night and we are so grateful. Even though we had a rough experience the first time, our encounters the following 2 times made up for it.

I knew I needed a battery but they checked it. Then not only did they help get a new one, they put it in! Go NOWHERE ELLSE!

I went to Autozone to get a car battery since mine was dead. I do not know how to change a car battery and I was told by friends that Autozone would change it for me so that is why I went there. When I went to checkout, the guy at the register told me he did not know how to change a car battery and sent me on my way to a different place. I was very frustrated since I had to get my car jumped started 3 different times that day, and no one was willing to help me with my car.

Semi helpful staff, on my last visit there were 3 people working that I could see and I still waited 5 minutes before someone helped me with my return.

Manager Perry Peacock should not have a job right now. Downright rude and obnoxious!!! They screwed up by giving me the wrong alternator and sent us to Altoona. Not going into it all because I'm just really upset how the manager dealt with us and treated us. He then started to brag about all these horses and crap he buys and sells which has nothing to do about our alternator issue. Never going here again.
