I don’t remember the young man’s name that checked me in. It was 11:30pm Monday March 11th. I had a 15 hour travel day and was just exhausted but this man’s attitude, engagement, positivity just brought me to life after among travel. He does an extremely good job and was very professional. My rental car is nice size and so spacious. I was ecstatic that they were open so late as most are closed that late. Awesome experience

Very good car got us home. United airlines canceled our flight from Chicago to Cedar Rapids. Not very many rental places let you drive the car 1 way. Hertz did thank the lord.

After renting a car online and arriving at the airport to pick up a car I was charged another 30% in taxes and fees by Hertz at the Eastern Iowa Airport. This location price gouges and does not honor previous rental agreement contracts with online booking companies. Hertz stated that I was charged an additional $43.85 in taxes and fees because I picked up a larger car than I reserved but the real story is Hertz told me the small car I reserved, a Nissan Versa, was not available and I had no choice but to take the larger car. I told them I did not want the larger car because it uses more gas but I had no choice. So Hertz penalized a customer and does not honestly treat its customer for an error Hertz caused. In spite of the fact Hertz was responsible for the upgraded car being rented to me they saw no reason I should not pay them for their error. VERY POOR COMPANY AND NON-EXISTANT CUSTOMER SERVICE

Went to return a car from another car service and parked in the wrong section, by mistake. lady came over very aggressive and confrontational and told us to move,we said we would, we were looking for something and she again stated we had to move I responded I already said I would and she became more confrontational and told me not to get smart with her at which I moved the vehicle. Now I recommend ENTERPRISE those guys were very professional and helpful

Our rental was not clean at all. Found trash and used napkins along with a vape. Car smelled like BO. Gum on the floor mat that stuck to my husband’s shoe. We wanted to downsize which we were able to do but the lady was rude and said we would not get a price change cuz i booked through a 3rd party.(that was said at least 3 times in our conversation with the woman behind the counter.) I’m glad there are other rental companies to choose from, cuz I will not be returning. People that work with the public should try to be a little more nicer!

I was unable to get a rental car. They did not explain to me that I needed a credit card to go from airport to airport when I booked the reservation. I am not a person that likes to have debt so I use a debit card. I had to cancel my reservation and go to another Hertz location.

Pick up was scheduled at 5pm. Walked up at 5:03 pm. Guy instantly tells us "we are technically closed". Tell him we had a 5 pm pick up time and he tells us "it's after 5. So you're going to Chicago? Great. Guess I can't rent that car anymore". We rented a one-way rental. Why have a pick up time at the time you close then? At least give a warning of the closing hours. Gave two stars because the car runs but it is scratched to hell, dirty interior, smell like weed, and notification for oil change popped up when we turned the vehicle on. lWill not be returning.

Flight was delayed (past 10:00). By the time I arrived at the counter Hertz was closed and no other rentals were available.I called to get a refund and Kaitlin was very defensive stating she waited for me and even called me. However, I had received no missed calls. Wouldn’t I have picked up my car if that was the case?I asked to help with a refund and she only provided me with 1-800 numbers and could not speak with a human. After calling x2 different numbers and only being automated to other robotic liens, I finally requested if she can please get in contact with someone on my behalf and she stated that she did in less than 4 minutes. So if she took the extra effort in the beginning, could have saved me some time.I come to this airport often for work but will not be utilizing hertz again. Similar to others reviews.

It’s the Wednesday before Christmas and my flight is delayed due to weather. I land at 520 but the Hertz desk closed at 5 and they’re long gone. All other car rental companies are open- Avis, Budget, Enterprise, National… all open but at 5x the cost I booked through Hertz a couple of weeks ago. My parents are driving from an hour away through snow to pick me up. Great job Hertz

The airport needs clearer signs to how to return this. That said google maps shows the return parking lot and it is accurate. Thanks for the awesome rental Hertz!

We fly across the country to Cedar Rapids every 12 weeks for special appointments at the Children’s hospital. Our flights were bumped and instead of arriving at 12:30PM were were slated to arrive at 10:45PM. I was a little panicked, because the Hertz counter closes at 10. I called the CID Hertz desk directly and spoke with a young woman. She asked for my new flight number and said she would leave a note and they can have someone stay until 11, as they sometimes do. I was really impressed with the service since the website says they close at 10. Unfortunately, when we arrived at the counter after we landed they were closed. The two other rental places that were open were sold out. So, thanks for leaving myself and my disabled daughter stranded at the airport. Lyfts/Ubers are impossible to get at 11PM on a Sunday night in Cedar Rapids. We ended up paying 100.00 for a cab. We will have to piece mail the rest of our transportation needs (to the hospital, back to the airport, etc) through alternate transportation methods.

Easy returns, parking lot is kind of off the airport. It’s not in parking lot, it’s at end of the road.
