“Staff were super friendly. I believe it was Vicky who got me all set up and checked in. Overall the rooms and hotel itself are pretty nice but when you walk into the lobby and down the halls it has a bit of an old/musty smell instead of a nice clean/inviting smell so the building shows its age a bit but it is fairly updated. The room was a little better smelling. Other than that though everything was pretty good! Room was clean and presentable. There is a train that goes by at night that might wake you up though. Decent hotel though for a quick short stay and easy access from the highway with lots of room to park large vehicles right next to door in the lot if needed.”

“Beautiful place too stay..close to the downtown shopping...the access door was not locked as it should have been ( key access)... nobody was there but us... anyone could have walked in ..let the front desk know in the morning....still loved the stayRooms: If only it would of been sunny and warm but it was January...lol...loved the room”

“My husband and I stopped in Clear Lake on our way to the Great Lakes. Because we're Gold Crown members, we chose to stay at the Holiday Lodge. It was a lovely stay! Isabel at the front desk was friendly and gracious on our arrival. The common areas are spacious and welcoming; the breakfast room especially was a large open area with ample seating. Our room was utilitarian but warmly furnished and more than big enough for our needs, with a queen-size bed, bedside tables, overstuffed chair, desk and office chair, dresser with cubby for microwave and fridge, and TV. There was space for our luggage and a small closet as well. The vanity in the bathroom was large enough for two people's toiletries. The room had a door leading in from the hall as well as an outside door leading directly to the parking lot (which was handy for load-out). Each room had a patio table and two chairs to enjoy the weather, if we chose. The hotel is adjacent to a Bennigans; we ate dinner there and it was quite good. They also provide room service for the hotel. Current staffing levels only allow the restaurant to be open during dinner hours (5 to 9 pm). There was a bit of noise outside our room from folks outside in the patio chairs two rooms down, but they went in by the time we returned from dinner. The room was quiet and the bed was comfortable, and we slept well. Breakfast was offered from 7 to 9 a.m. the next morning and included all the usual hot and cold fare; in lieu of a waffle maker they had a pancake-making machine, and the pancakes were quite tasty! We enjoyed our stopover at the Holiday Lodge and have already booked another night's stay for our return trip!”
