“Discovered this shop online last week while internet searching and realized it was just an hour away. I contacted a good friend of mine that I shoot darts with for fun and asked if he wanted to road trip. He was on board! Called the gentleman up the day before and asked if he would be open. He said he would be there by Noonish so I took that as 12:15. He was right on time and we were as well.
It was just a nice size Mom & Pop Shop but perfect for what you needed. I mean, how much store do you need for darts. There was actually so much that I'm sure that I missed something but I was like a kid in the candy store. It was like the shops back in the day where you could buy slot cars.
Anyway. He had plenty of loose darts on top of the glass cases that you could try as far as weight and feel. That made my decision that much easier and then he helped me find the barrels and shafts for me to tweak and make it my own.
My buddy didn't spend much but for me, I'm a small businessman of 37 years and I do my best to return the favor so I got a little crazy with over $110.00 but I also just had an appreciation for being able to touch something before I bought it. Something that has been lost with online shopping.
I would highly recommend going and I look forward to going back in the near future. Don't wait forever because he may not be there forever. Yes, call first but you'll be happy with the end result.
