I needed a small bolt at $2.97 a piece almost had to remortgage the house . The owner probably has a private island somewhere if a 10 cent bolt is $2.97

I always try to support Ace Hardware as they are a local business as opposed to a big box store however I am extremely disappointed in my last visit to the point I might not return. I went in to buy bird food and a new feeder and the food was buy one get one free. They had several signs posted stating this and also right underneath the food itself. I picked my 2 bags and my new feeder and went to check out. My husband noticed that I was charged full price for both bags of food. When I questioned it, they told me that one of the bags wasn't on sale. I walked back with the associate and showed her the sign and she said oh that's wrong it's not supposed to be there. She also made me feel like I moved the sign. I had worked in retail for 30 years and definitely don't believe the customer is always right but when you sign something you should honor that. This wasn't a customer mistake it was a store mistake. I ended up going somewhere else and buying food and a feeder a lot cheaper. I am in Ace at least once a week and have never had an issue spending a little more to support a local business but now I will probably just save myself money and buy from someone else.

I like smaller neighborhood hardware stores. They have some unique things that you don't find at big box stores.

ACE employees are always very attentive, helpful and friendly. I didn't need help this trip, as I was just buying lightbulbs, and I knew where they were and what kind I wanted, but both employees offered help if I needed it.

Car wash ripped off the screw for my license plate and went in, Ryan grabbed all the options and went out to my car and helped me replace it right then and there! Super great , I was very grateful!
