Blank Park Zoo Gift Shop is a popular and enjoyable destination for visitors. The gift shop offers a wide variety of unique and interesting items that are different from what can be found elsewhere. The staff and volunteers are friendly and knowledgeable, making the visit more engaging. Although the zoo has a limited number of exhibits and a small water animal area where animals seem happy, larger animals could benefit from more space and natural habitats. The zoo is easy to get around and offers activities like riding the train, which provides a good view of more animals. The only downside is the limited food options, available mainly during summer. Overall, it’s a fun place to see animals, learn, and spend quality time, especially if visiting frequently.

Was great! Went there with some friends and even though there weren’t a lot of animals out due to weather conditions we still got to see what we went to see!

A smaller zoo than compared to larger cities, but still a pleasant way to spent a couple hours. Our only complaint is the lack of places to eat in the zoo. Only food stand is run by HyVee and only during the summer. Fall, winter and spring, work your visit between meal times.
