Great location with walkability to restaurants and bars plus a nice trail around the river. Beautiful view from the room if you're on the East side. It's a bit dated but very clean. The front desk staff were nice.

We opted to stay here since it is walking distance to the event center. Nice restaurants around too! As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by two on the nicest ladies. Can't say that about a couple of the guests. The room was great, bed was comfortable, the vanity is in with the shower (a plus for me). I will say they could use more USB ports that charge better. Pool looked nice, we just didn't think about using it. A great stay, as is with most Comfort Inn's.Food & drinks: No vending machines that I could find.

The front desk lady was the sweetest and very friendly, and B E A UTIFUL!! I loved my stay and the room wasn’t bad. Could use walls sanded down and repainted and updated tv with some smart plugs and stuff to make it more HIP but it was good enough for me. Thank you for a nice clean comfy stay!Rooms: Clean. Your average dirty corners and stuff like that. Tv’s needed uodated and huny in walls. Need to sand and paint walls to look nicer maybe.Nearby activities: Literally perfect location down townNoteworthy details: The front desk lady was very sweet nice, and attractive! So friendly!!

The hotel gets reasonably high marks in most categories, except for its, ahem, toilets. They appear to be a throw back to gramma & grampa's place in the 60s, taking forever to flush and using what seems to be three times more water than your average modern toilet. (Weren't these legacy models banned?) If the hotel has over 150 rooms, all with toilets like ours, then the next time Iowa suffers from extreme drought, I know where the governor might focus her attention for some water savings.

Stay anywhere but here. The place is old rundown and musty. That happens, but the rudeness of the woman at the checkout was the cake topper. I was running a little late on checkout and called to inform them of that. She laid into me with a host of complaints about how we have to get all the room ready there's already another person asking to be late we need to get the room ready there's 120 guest coming in today, it isn't my problem if you decided to sleep in today, if they check in early I have to move rooms around.... On and on. Isn't that your job, btw?? The catch to that is that the hotel was all but empty last night! No cars in the parking lot. They have enough rooms ready from yesterday that were not used! They don't even need my room. She was just being a mean hearted person. Also, she is more than happy to push out a already paid client NO LATER than 11am!! But check in is not until 3pm! Oh, but I guess it's ok to let them check in early at the cost of the person who already paid. Yeah, we call that at the least inconsistent and at it's worst hypocritical! Please stay any other hotel. Trust me they will be nicer and the hotel will be better.
