Ignore the price quote they give on their website. They will increase the price after you've been using it for a few months. They barely even notify you of the change. If you reach out to ask them about the increase, you'll never get a response back.
As far as I can tell, there is nothing to stop them from increasing the price regularly.
I suggest finding a different storage company.
CubeSmart: If you want me to delete these reviews, which you'll find on every CubeSmart in the Des Moines area, then the price is a refund of what I've paid you to date (less than a year of renting a 5x5 unit) plus a full year of my current rental unit for free.

It was super easy to get into the facility and a huge bonus that they had a loading dock for large trucks.

Been there over a year and I have never had any bad experiences . I changed my rating from 4 to a 5 because management has been very good about everything. Two days ago they were even out spraying the minimal weeds growing up between some of the small cuts that are put in the concrete to stop cracks from spreading. The place is always clean and in all honesty I meant to give 5 stars and accidentally hit 4.

The only part that may not have lived up to the billing was the climate control. Our space on the second floor was not as cool as we thought it would be (I had seen information on the Cubesmart web site that mentioned temperatures were kept in the range of 68 to 72 degrees). It was more like upper 70's with noticeable humidity during the summer. We were storing a piano so temperature control was important. On the other hand, the temperature/humidity was certainly better than a storage space that had no climate control.
For everything else (access to the building, security, convenience, customer service, cleanliness, etc.), Cubesmart worked well for us. We stored some household goods and furniture in our space as well.

With the new management at SE 8th st Des Moinesi am changing my rating to 5 ? they have made everything much better operating more efficiently and they have hotten the homeless that were hanging around under control. Friendly and helpful reasonable pricing only thing I see they need is more drive up storage
