This store is my favorite Harbor Freight location mainly because of it's location and inside item arrangement. But mostly, it's my favorite because of the friendly and helpful service provided by the pretty cashier of color, whose name I do not know. She is just a ray of sunshine to customers. She is a very valuable asset to the store and company.

Harbor Freight is the place to go for inexpensive tools. You won't find any of the big names in tools, but you also won't pay that kind of money either. If you are a diyer or even a semi-pro, good deals can be found readily. There are also a couple of brands here that are geared more towards professionals. I have gotten plenty of tools and supplies here and will keep coming back.

Great place to pick up tools for all kinds of household and automotive projects. HF has really stepped up their game the last couple years. The Icon hand tools are very high quality. I’ve been very impressed with the Badland winches and recovery gear. The Roadshock trail lights are super bright. Lots of other gems throughout the store. The Inside Track membership is a great deal if you are a frequent shopper.

Mary Jane always helps me to the best of her ability and is extremely kind and sweet. This Harbor Freight 100% is the best one I’ve been to. Everyone is very helpful, especially MJ :)

I recently visited Harbor Freight (Merle Hay Rd location) to exchange a brand-new wrench set I had purchased the day before. Unfortunately, one of the tools in the sealed package had visible defects — the paint on the wrench was chipped, which is not acceptable for a brand-new product. Since these tools come with a lifetime warranty, I expected a smooth replacement process.
However, my experience was far from that. I spoke with a store associate — an older woman who I believe is named MJ or JJ (I overheard her being called over the walkie-talkie). She appeared to have some mobility issues and was using a cart for support. Despite that, she seemed to be moving around the store both yesterday and today.
When I tried to explain that the tool set was still in its original packaging and it would be easier to replace the entire set rather than one defective wrench, she responded very aggressively and loudly, insisting they could only replace the single defective tool. Her tone was rude, unprofessional, and completely unnecessary — especially considering I was calm and just trying to resolve a reasonable issue.
It was disappointing and frustrating to be treated like that as a customer. I understand policies are policies, but there’s a way to communicate them respectfully — and this was not it. Because of this unpleasant experience, I do not plan to return to this location again.
I’m leaving this review to help other customers be aware of the kind of interaction they may face at this store. If you go, I’d strongly suggest avoiding this particular associate to save yourself the frustration.

They have about anything and prices are lower than other places.
