The store suddenly and randomly changed the closing time to 6 pm from 9 pm. They have not updated their closing time online. These limited hours are extremely inconvenient for people who work until 5:30 pm. The artificial wall of wine bottles is also very inconvenient. Will be looking forward to moving soon so I no longer have to shop at this location.

What kind of grocery stores close at 6? It’s disgrace to the community. The city ought to punish them for this.

Prices are a little more expensive here. Convenient if you're downtown though.

Well, I told an employee looking at me questioningly,(I had a few items in my basket) that ,"yes I needed to cash a check,",(it was a small one,$47.50,). Well she had stopped in front of me,she answered me like I had said something dirty and said no we don't cash checks here, and I said okay, but she just stood there in my way. I had already acknowledged that they didn't cash checks, but she was just standing there in front of me with eyes kind of bulging out almost like glaring at me, I thought to my self she must think I should just put my things back, and it felt weird, like maybe she assumed I couldn't pay for my things,it felt a bit rude,so I had to say(a bit curtly) okay, excuse me,and she still slowly moved away looking at me funny(it felt uncomfortable)but I went ahead and finished shopping, paid and left. I must say I almost wanted to up and leave the cart right there and just leave but that would just be me being rude and reacting in a poor way, maybe to the level I felt I was being treated so no I didn't appreciate her attitude but did pay and leave. Just hard to get good help in lots of places today, but one thing is for sure, there certainly wasn't a friendly smile in that isle!!!

Not as friendly as I thought they would and should be.Parking should be free for shoppers who can't walk to store and has to drive.

Went there to pick up some perscriptions that I had filled there for years, and they suddenly decided to make a artificial baricade of wine bottles between the parking lot entrance to the pharmacy. I found this peculiar, so I moved them out of the way to conduct my business. I had to wait 20 minutes, so I left and came back. The baricade came back, and the security guard told me not to please not do that again. So I cancelled all my prescriptions, and asked to see the manager.I told him I’m cancelling all my prescriptions because they obviously didn’t care about my business by inconveniencing me artificially baricading my way to the pharmacy via wine bottles.Paul, the manager, told me he didn’t care. The security guard sure didn’t care. Hyvee didn’t care. The pharmacists and the customer service people were nice to me about it, and seemed to understand my grievance. But the store manager, the security guard, and Hyvee didn’t care.Edit: Attempted to contact the email they provided to discuss this issue. I even gave them my phone number, but never heard back. So I think I’m definitely right that they don’t actually care.Edit upon edit: So I guess I had one more prescription at this Hy-vee, so I went in again. Once again, they had a makeshift barricade of wine between me and my prescription. So I walked around the entire store to go ahead and cancel my prescription. The pharmacists were understanding, as it’s apparently a known issue, and I was advised to make sure management knew about this known issue.so I did. I asked for the store manager, who was not there, but I did speak with the assistant store manager, who was very understanding. She said they plan on building a permanent wall between the entrance and the pharmacy as the alcohol department is losing about a 100,000 in theft per year because of the location of the alcohol department.I am sympathetic to this reasoning, but putting a barrier up between the entrance to the pharmacy department is stupid, and is a lazy solution to this problem. If that is an issue than they should move the alcohol department to a place where it can’t get easily stolen. Or better yet, open up a separate store just for alcohol instead of putting up walls from the entrance to the pharmacy.I’m still extremely annoyed by this, twice over, especially as Hyvee has not responded to my email about this issue. I was given the name of Brent Shelman as the regional manager, and I look forward to hearing from him via the email I replied with. The assistant manager did not have his email or phone number.Sincerely,Michael Harmsen

So I'm from out of town on business but this place is amazing, and was near my hotel. They have everything quality under the sun...wish i had one of these in my town. Great restaurant in the store, but snagging prepared goods that I could take back to my hotel...really easy checkout too. Never even heard of this place before, but everyone I worked with knew this place or course... Check it out!!

Been coming to this Hy Vee for the last 5 years just for the pizza. Always been fantastic with great service. until the last couple months when some one new took over. The last 3 times I’ve come in to get lunch(pizza) either something is broken & or the service is lack luster at best.
