I am perplexed by the mediocre ratings for this pharmacy. We have found the staff and Pharmacist very friendly and helpful, taking extra steps to meet our needs. Our prescriptions are usually ready even quicker than expected and the drive through pick up is made easy and pleasant. Having the RX app to see the status of all medications, renewal dates, etc. has also been extremely helpful. As if all of that weren’t enough, their prices beat Walgreens and Hy-Vee by a HUGE margin!! We love Medicap on Easton.

I was using bubble packs for my medications. I've been on bubble packs for 7-8 months, I was using the medicap in beaverdale everything was going well, then they decided to do all the bubble packs in one place so now I had to get all my scripts switched over and had to deal with a new set of people which I was not happy with. Then I decided to go back to med bottles, made the stupid decision to use a different Medicap, than the one in Beaverdale They did not get my medicine correct they did not call and leave a voicemail for me to call them back to allow me to talk to them about my medications and they forgot to fill a psych med, and now I have to go without my medicine. If anybody's on psych meds you know that if you stop your med for about a week your body has to readjust to the med and now I have to go through a readjustment period because they forgot to fill my psych med would not recommend this Medicap.

When I am visiting Des Moines and need to fill my one med this is the branch of Medicap I use. I gave them 3 stars because they just left me hanging while they helped other customers who came in after me and even allowed one to write a check while I was waiting, rude.

This used to be the best pharmacy in the neighborhood. When the staff changed in the fall of 2024 they became the worst. We put up with it, hoping things would get better. We will be changing pharmacies this week and suggest you look elsewhere for a pharmacy.

I came to this Medicap location from terrible experiences at Walgreens. It was amazing for years! That was until mid 2024 it ALL changed and not for the better. For years my auto-refills worked so well that I never even had to contact the pharmacy once, even for a script to be renewed. They always were a step ahead. Now....never ending contact for refills, script renewals, and to get script filled that should of been filled 2 to 3 days earlier than alerted to miss up to 6 doses, not cool. I'm always assured nothing has changed but the service here has fallen off terribly! I'm not sure what has happened to this once great Medicap location but I'm almost at a point to find another pharmacy.

This used to be the best pharmacy. You would bring in or have called in your prescription and they would fill it in 5 min. Now you come here hours after it was called in and it’s still not filled. When it’s an hour from the end of the day, they say not today. When it’s an antibiotic your child needs asap and you don’t live In town it makes it difficult to accept. Today, I called ahead to make them aware I need two seperate children’s medications now. They say it will be two hours. I get here two hours later and still wait 15 min.

I’ve tried to download RxLocal but nothing happens when I select this pharmacy. It no longer works when I call refills in on the phone unless I hold for forever (not the staff’s fault, they’re slammed) to speak to a person. I had a cold a few weeks ago and my doctor called in meds that it took them 5 days to fill the prescriptions. I was also forced to switch to this location from the East 14th location, which didn’t have any of these issues.

I love going into the medicap pharmacy on Easton .the employees are very friendly and hard working.rumor has it they are going to down size this pharmacy.in my opinion that would be a big mistake.i really hope that doesn't happen .they all work very hard and they are always way busy when I go in .i think you will lose very good employees if you do this .yep just my opinion and I would hate to have to go to another store.

Great helpful pharmacist the staff are awesome
