Grate place to stay if in town. Staff is very friendly and helpful. In a great location to get to anything you want to do.The only things I think need work are smart tvs in the rooms, and the hot tub needs to have some work done on it.

Byfar, our favorite hotel to stay at when we are having date night. The rooms are big always clean the breakfast is also good. We have never had an issue with this place. its also in a great location. Pretty big selection of food in walking distance. Also has a Variety of entertainment not far arcade/bar is just a few blocks away. But our favorite thing to do after a night out would be walking the river And then walking around downtown playing pokemon go. Highly recommend this hotel 10/10 ☆☆☆☆☆Food & drinks: I recommend Zombie burger for a great burger and updown to play old stand up arcade games

It was pretty clean but smelled like cigarette smoke in spite of the smelly air freshener. The attendant seriously failed his attempt to be funny and was outright insulting to my husband. At least, we were using a free night and didn't have to pay for the stay. Will not be using them again.

Good option for a central Des Moines hotel. The good: Immediately walked in the door to be greated by Michelle. She was really friendly and helpful on the parking situation (well get to that). Gave us our room keys and off we went. Room was nice and modern. We got a suite so there's 2 tvs 2 beds and a pull out couch, full size fridge a 2 burner cooktop, pots/pans and even a dishwasher. Bathroom was clean but the shower itself could've been cleaned better. The pool is small but nice and the hottub is nice but has some flaking off allowing it to start rusting. Now for the bad. The parking situation is whack. First temporarily parked on the street to explore the area. Had to pay for that. There is no place at the front of the hotel to unload cars. There is a city ramp across the street you can park in for $10 for 24hrs. If you leave you will be recharged. Not to mention you'd have to walk your stuff across the street. Found out from Michelle that the hotel offers $20 per day parking in a ramp in the back with access to the hotel. There you can come and go as much as you like for the $20. The pool and gym area have full floor to ceiling windows with no frosted sections to provide privacy from the creeps walking or driving down the street. Anybody can look in and see someone's wife jogging. ?. There is alot of traffic on the street also so I'd get a room on the south side if possible also. I'd stay here again if I get back in the area.Food & drinks: Lots of places to eat and drink nearby. Check out Zombie Burger!

Stayed at n this hotel during blizzard warning and wind chill warning, January 12-14,2024. The staff was excellent!!! They were short staffed but I couldn’t tell. The wind chill was at least -30 F and cars weren’t starting. The rooms were beautiful. A full breakfast was offered and was great! This Staybridge Hotel is excellent!!!Rooms: Beautiful and comfortable rooms.

Long drive, exhausted and checked in late but the moment I step foot I was greeted by the most welcoming front desk person Michelle. Had some problems checking in but she worked her magic and got me situated. Great service, great room, great people. Definitely gore my vote.

This hotel is fantastic! Every employee I encountered was so friendly and kind. The breakfast spread was impressive. The happy hour Mon-Fri was a great surprise as well! The room itself was comfortable, spacious and quiet. This is the only place I'll ever stay in Des Moines!

This was a quiet, clean hotel with friendly staff. The breakfast was quite large and had unusual items like cottage cheese and fresh cut strawberries and pineapple. We had a great stay. The only bad thing was that the first set of doors going to the parking garage were not automatic and were quite heavy. I was in a wheelchair and couldn't get them open. I had to wait until someone came along to open them for me.

I absolutely loved this hotel. I stayed for 4 nights during a work conference and I was so comfortable, I couldn't wait to get back each night to my "apartment". (Especially for the free evening social with food and wine/beer:) I enjoyed having my own kitchen, private bedroom, and extra space. Also, we had free breakfast every morning. I highly recommend!

I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Staybridge Suites Des Moines Downtown, an IHG Hotel, and overall, it was a positive experience. The hotel offers a range of amenities and friendly service, making it a comfortable choice for travelers. The rooms at Staybridge Suites Des Moines Downtown were well-appointed and had all the necessary facilities for a comfortable stay. The furnishings were modern and in good condition, creating a pleasant ambiance. However, it's worth noting that there was no exhaust hood in the kitchen area, which could be a drawback for guests planning to do any deep-frying or heavy cooking. It is highly recommended to avoid such cooking methods due to the lack of proper ventilation. The hotel's fitness center, while adequately equipped, had one downside: the absence of air conditioning. This could make workouts uncomfortable, especially during warmer months. It would be beneficial if the management could address this issue to ensure a more comfortable exercise environment for guests. In terms of pricing, Staybridge Suites Des Moines Downtown offers reasonable rates for the quality of accommodations and services provided. The value for money is commendable, considering the convenient downtown location and the comfort of the rooms. One aspect that stood out during my stay was the friendly and attentive service provided by the staff. From check-in to check-out, the hotel staff members were courteous, accommodating, and responsive to any requests or inquiries. Their professionalism and willingness to assist added to the overall positive experience. In conclusion, Staybridge Suites Des Moines Downtown, an IHG Hotel, offers a pleasant stay experience with well-appointed rooms, reasonable pricing, and friendly service. While improvements such as the addition of an exhaust hood in the kitchen area and air conditioning in the fitness center would enhance the overall experience, the hotel remains a comfortable choice for travelers visiting the downtown area. I would recommend it to individuals seeking a convenient and welcoming accommodation option in Des Moines.
