The workers are friendly and helpful. The prices are reasonable. I have never had any problems that couldn't be handled. Wish they was 24 hour accessible because we do own our own business and have equipment that we need to switch out and sometimes we can't make it before they close at 10 but we manage somehow lol.

After experiencing a number of changes in management at my 14th St. location ( since Greg who is wonderful ) we have again, an exceptional manager now, and hopefully she’ll stay.
When I first moved in it was because of problems I had it my previous storage location in ALTOONA, it became a nightmare when I was locked out as my card had expired without my knowing.
Thank you very, very much for hiring such an awesome manager ( Jay ) who much like Greg is both extremely pleasant & professional in every possible way.

Horrible, do not rent here. They are CONSTANTLY increasing the rent. When I first started renting it was $40/month, it went to $70 about last month and now after 1 month it’s gone up AGAIN to $85 for a tiny non-climate controlled unit. Insanity.

Do NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE!!! THE DM HAS AN ISSUE WITH PEOPLE WHO DONT DO WHATEVER SHE WANTS... Me and my husband have a drive up climate controlled 10×25 unit along with a parking spot. First off 2 weeks ago one of their maintance men busted my windshield. Which was on camera, and we reported to the police and manager who sent it to the DM... Who did nothing and claims it wasnt their maintace man even though he was clwaely on their camera bustying my windshield. 2nd we were at our unit yesterday getting things moved around so we could put the car inside so the interior did not get wet. (Waiting on windshield to come in) (BMW) When I was told that I needed to get our storage door closed at all times because it is climate control. When asked show me in our contract that says that the door needs to be shut at all times, at which time she told me she did not have to show me anything that we need to follow the rules. (Which both myself, my husband and the police she called all went over the contract and there is NOTHING that says we have to keep the door closed. (Outdoor access, drive up, not a inside unit) at which point she attempted to have me removed from the location (which she was told by the police SHE CALLED) I was not breaking any rules within our contract so she could not have me removed for no reason. After which she went even futher and said she was terminating our contract and that we have till 6/30 by 5pm to have our 10×25 cleared out ( after she also limited us beong able to access our unit to 9:30 to 5:00 when there is a manager there. (They are closed Wed. And Sunday). And she removed our 24 hour access that we also pay for... we called corporate to which we STILL have not received any response. Tomorrow we are talking with our attorney on this matter!!

This rating is for Greg at the Storage Mart on E 14th in Des Moines, Iowa. I was moving out of my unit and had multiple issues with moving out dates and vehicles to help. Greg was so great to work with!! Change move out dates? No problem! Different vehicles coming and going? No problem!
Storage Mart - you are lucky to have this man!! You could take lessons from him on how to relate to customers and business techniques! You have caused problems for me a few times and all high and mighty and completely inflexible!!
My daughter is also a Storage Mart customer and has been for years. You are kicking her out for a problem that someone else caused. Again, high and mighty and inflexible.
